I love the Stampin Up Powder. I have used other brands but SU's seems to be brighter (at least the gold is)

I've got a few brands, but I have to say my absolute favourite is Zing! by Americcan Crafts. Shiny, smooth, with a nice raised impression. I find with metalics that it is so easy to over heat and dull the look of the embossing but the Zing! is very forgiving. The silver and gold stay very shiny even if you apply more heat accidently.

Never tried Zing but I really like SU. I've had better luck with their embossing powder than any other that I've tried.

I read many posts that say SU's is really a really fine powder and really wonderful! I do use mainly SU also and have great results. The good thing with embossing powder is it last forever!

I prefer the Ranger brand as they have the most variety and many colors can be purchased in regular and extra fine detail. They also manufacturer it so it's not like some names who are actually using a product made by another company.

Another vote for the SU embossing powder. You get consistent results. While there aren't a lot of colors I've never really felt the need for more than the basics. You can always use craft ink and clear EP to get the color you want.

I like Zing. Have some distress embossing powder but not crazy about it. I like the shine regular embossing powder gives.

My fave is Ranger EP, especially Queen's Gold and Princess Gold. I found both at AC Moore, but not sure if they carry this line any longer, since they started Inkadinkadoo products.

I love the SU powders, but I also like the gold powders put out by JudiKins.

shastess....I don't know where you live, but in NJ, Micheals does carry some of the colors and also the Distress variety (if you like shopping in that store). AC Moore stores stopped carrying the Ranger brand for some reason. Just be sure to read the jar so you get the kind you want. The distress and regular kind do come in the same size/style jar. Just read the labels.
