Talking Ribbon Match for SU Cherry Cobbler!!

I ordered some samples from The Ribbon Retreat. Then I sent part of my samples to another SCSer who; like me, was wanting a satin ribbon for a "dressier" look to go with the SU paper Cherry Cobbler.

Kim agrees with me that Ribbon Retreat's "Scarlet Red" is a VERY good match.
It's not EXACT, but it's as close as you are going to get until SU releases a satin ribbon themselves.

Also in the grosgrains, Ribbon Retreat sells the Offray brand in Cranberry which to our eyes appears to be a dead on match!

So...if the seam binding ribbon just wasn't floatin' your boat....you can order either the satin in Scarlet Red, or the Offray grosgrain in Cranberry to use this Christmas with any cards you make with Cherry Cobbler.

Thanks for sharing! I might have to get some for my Christmas cards.

TFS from me too. I like Cherry Cobbler, but the seam binding didn't appeal to me . Seam binding is very low quality by design. It is only meant to be used for hemming not decorations .

Thanks! I'm lovin' Cherry Cobbler and of course I love ribbon on cards. I just got my first order of CC. I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

In SU's defense; the seam binding they are selling to use as ribbon is pretty. I've seen it in person. It's soft and has a lovely sheen to it, not sheer exactly but a little see through.

It works really well with all the vintage Christmas stuff they put in the mini. All the colors are beautiful. It's just so soft and kind of "floppy".

But I'm not using any of the vintage stuff, and I wanted a Cherry Cobbler ribbon with a little more "oomph"....sturdier like grosgrain, and maybe even dressier like satin.

So...I went hunting. I am just amazed the didn't offer any other choices in the mini.
