Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper: Help Please!
Hi everyone,

I recently got this paper to use with my Tombows and my TGF Anya's, as I can't get a crisp stamping or decent colouring on my WC paper. As soon as I stamped my Angel Anya with Versafine, it started to smear and the ink hasn't even started to dry. Do I need to use another ink, or does it need to be heat set? I don't have a heat gun, and I really don't want to go out and buy one as it's not really in my budget, and they are a bit pricey here in Singapore. Any tips would be appreciated!

Honestly, I really dislike that paper. I received some in a class I took with stamped images on it, and I can't do anything with it. Copics don't work because of the coating, and water-based products don't dry. I don't know what you're supposed to do with it. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm sorry I can't be of much help, but I'll be watching this thread to see what others suggest.

I purchased the matte coat Ranger paper for using with stamping and coloring with my Memento markers. I wasn't all that thrilled with it either. But heat embossing does improve it's usability. You can heat emboss even without a heat tool, just hold your image with the embossed side up over a light bulb. It doesn't take much longer to melt than a heat tool, honestly! Make sure your bulb has been on a while giving it a chance to warm up. I used to do this holding my paper by an alligator clip that came with my chalks. Works like a charm:)
