I got mine the other day, too. I haven't opened it up yet but I did open and cut into the new Melon Berry cardstock. Great color!

I am so happy they came out with this. I haven't been able to keep up buying all of the colors released. This was a nice way to experiment and see if I like a particular color. Bad news is, all the ones I've tried so far I love and will go back and order the individual packs. I haven't tried them all yet so maybe I'll be able to resist one or two. Doubtful but it could happen! ;)

It's 9 dollars for 50 sheets. 4 sheets of 5 of their most popular colors, and 3 sheets of 10 others colors. You can't go wrong with their cardstock. I really have to say if you get it, I think you'll be happy. Here's a link.

Totally agree...I also bought the sampler back. I love PTI paper, it's soo thick..

I also bought the bitty dot basics, which also gives you a variety of colors.

I bought the same! Haven't cut any of it yet, just spread it all out on my desk and gazed lovingly at it and thought, "Oooooo, look at all the pretty colors! Oooooooo, dots!"

Blissed out on paper. You ALL know what I'm talkin' about...I know you do.;)

I forgot to add that, if you don't spend $55.00 and qualify for the free shipping, their flat-rate charge to the lower 48 states is only $6.50.

Okay, I have a question for people with the bitty dots paper...are your dots straight? I cut a 1.5 inch strip to use on a card, and I could not handle the dots not being in straight rows. At first I blamed my cutter, but then I noticed that the actual sheet is printed off-kilter. Not by a lot, but enough to notice when you're trying to cut straight.

Anyone else have the same problem? Any tricks to use other than "don't look directly at the dots"?

I love this month's new color; a pink hibiscus....YUMMY!

I'm ashamed to say that I own all of their cardstock and stamp pads and at least SOME ribbon in all the colors. In addition to all of the SU colors of cardstock and ink.

I'm in serious paper overload. But unlike some paper I've collected, I actually USE my SU and PTI cardstock. It seems to just be easy to coordinate.

I can't wait to see what this month's "kit" is going to be. Love it last month! Great value for the price.

Every month I spend way too much because I have to have it all...love all the matching papers, inks and ribbons. The new Hibiscus Blast...is beautiful!!! It looks so great with the New Leaf color...My cart is already waiting for the release..plus I had to add all the ribbons that were not in stock last month...going to be an expensive month I think...I hope my budget will cover it...Blessings.

I noticed that on one of the papers in the Chocolate Remix pack. It bothers me, it really does. Maybe it shouldn't, but it does. That was the first patterned paper I bought from them and I haven't purchased any of the others since. I love Papertrey, but I'm just a little iffy about the patterned papers (mostly because of the printing, however minor). I'd hate to buy the others and feel like I couldn't use them for the same reason.

ETA: I just looked at my Chocolate Remix paper again and noticed that the dots are straight along the top and bottom, but are uneven down the sides. I suppose you could try to cut in the space between the dots and the spacing wouldn't be as noticeable. Good luck. I hope you find a solution!

I just placed my order! I ordered 2 packs of the sampler paper, and a pack of the craft cream! Even with shipping, it only came to $29.50. I'm excited to get it, and can't wait to see the yummy colors in person! I'm in florida right now, and I'm using my son's computer to place my order! Karen

For anyone whom has purchased the sampler pack with all the different colors, what is your opinion on this paper? I just ordered mine, so it hasn't arrived yet, but most people rave about PTI paper! How do you like it, and can you post a sample card you made with the pretty colored papers? Thanks. Karen

Hi Karen, Here's a card I made using all PTI papers including one of their patterned papers; I LOVE the cardstock, so nice and heavy and gorgeous colors! You will love it too as soon as you get your hands on it, just like the rest of us, LOL!

I love PTI cardstock. The sampler pack is a great buy to see which colors you like the most. I know I will be ordering more cardstock including the hibiscus this month. I have used a few sheets of the itty dots, and the dots were straight. I haven't check all sheets; crooked lines would bother me too.

Maybe I'm computer challenged, but when I go into their website, I can't find the link for all the other colors they offer. I see the sampler pack, and the new colors, but I don't see a link to check out the other colors. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. Karen

Karen, check on paper on the side bar and then click on perfect match paper. The sampler will come up first. Scrolling down, you will see the individual colors. Hope this helps.

Papertrey is my absolutely favorite. I started this stamping addiction with SU and have to admit the last few cattys I was dissappointed with. I found PTI and I am sooo in heaven. The paper colors are so beautiful, the ribbon is fantastic and their stamps are the best. Every month I tell myself that I will go easy, and every month Nichole comes out with 'have to haves.' She has a design team that comes up with the most awesome cards, projects and ideas. You will love the paper and won't be dissappointed on the ribbon, ink or stamp sets. Her stamp sets can be interwoven in so many ways. I'm hooked!!!

I can't wait to order my PTI sampler pack! I am moving at the end of this month and have already packed up all my stamping things. And by the time I get settled and come back from visiting my parents in Florida for Passover it will be April 12. So I've got to wait an entire MONTH until I can even think of buying PTI! AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!

So it's not that it's cut crooked, the dots seem to be printed crooked somehow. Totally not happy with the patterned paper. I definitely will not be buying any more-it wasn't cheap to get the two samplers and I'm not sure I'd even use this crooked dotted paper again. Maybe for small cricut shapes or small paper piecing.
I, too, was trying to use it last night again and no, the dot lines are not perpendicular to each other. So here's what I posted on the PTI forum:

"I know you're going to think I'm the most Type A person in the world...but are the dots in bitty dot basics supposed to be wonky, or do I just have a bad batch?

At first I thought the dots were not printed straight on the page, so I tried cutting down the row of dots to make them parallel to the edge. However, when I went to cut the next (perpendicular) edge, the dots would not line up along my trimmer.

I checked them with my centering ruler, and with one edge going down a row of dots, the perpendicular line of my ruler (which is 2 inches wide) goes from the top to bottom of one row of dots. Plus, when you look down the diagonal sight line (this was my husband getting involved), the diagonals are not straight.

How do you guys use this paper if the dots are wonky?"

and here was Nichole's reply:
"The dot pattern found in Bitty Dot Basics is created intentionally at the slightest diagonal to create more of a "random" look when punching out shapes, cutting narrow strips, etc... I'm sorry that you feel this design feature makes it challenging to use. I personally have really enjoyed this paper collection and the look it adds to all of my projects. In fact, it somehow sneaks into almost everything I create lately! I agree with Dawn, that once you start using it on your projects, you will find yourself using it more and more as well! Good luck!"

Um, okaaaaay? Why would I want a "random" look when cutting narrow strips--that's when the wonkiness looks the worst! And I think it's only noticeable when you're cutting straight lines, so when you go to punch out a shape, it wouldn't matter if it's "random" or not.

Definitely will not be buying more the bitty dot pattern and would not recommend it to anyone! Which is a pity, because it's such a nice weight and I love the ability to match the PTI cardstock.

Sorry this is The Longest Post Ever(tm).

So what do you gals think about the "planned randomness"?

A) I'm a type A so it bothers me.

B) I'm a type B (is there a type B? or are you just type A or not?) so I just go with the [random] flow, Meg.

C) I didn't actually notice the wonkiness until you mentioned it. Thanks.

Please fill in your circle using a number 2 pencil. If you make a mistake, erase completely. When you are done, put your answer sheet inside of your test booklet, raise your hand, and your proctor will collect your materials.

I couldn't agree more, I got mine and I LOVE it! PTI cardstock is definitely my favorite.

LOL! Definitely Type A. So my pad of dotted paper will sit, intact, in my room for all of time and eternity.

You can see that along the bottom the dots look straight but along the sides they do not even come close to looking straight. So it's not that it's cut crooked, the dots seem to be printed crooked somehow. Totally not happy with the patterned paper. I definitely will not be buying any more-it wasn't cheap to get the two samplers and I'm not sure I'd even use this crooked dotted paper again. Maybe for small cricut shapes or small paper piecing.

here's the card:

I, also, am a Type A. Therefore, I won't be ordering this. As I currently have NO PTI paper, ribbon, or ink, I was planning on purchasing the Bitty Dots pack and the cardstock sampler; however, since I took Bitty Dots out of my cart, I decided that there was no point in having the cardstock sampler with nothing to match it - especially since I'm in Canada and can't break my orders up because of shipping costs.
