Specifically, I'm looking for their double-sided aqua/dark aqua mulberry cardstock. It's gorgeous, and I have only one sheet left. I don't want to use it because - and I know that many of you will understand this - it inspires me. The colors are so gorgeous that I love to just look at it sometimes.
Anyway, I can't find it anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can buy it? Thanks!
Is the Paper Co still active? Is this a discontinued color? Can they tell you who they sold it to?
I've tried emailing them, but my email was returned with a message that said that my email was being blocked. I have no idea why, but it's very puzzling.
I’ve seen traditional mulberry paper and 8.5x11 packs that are text weight but not cardstock. Have you tried this company? Second link has a pack of blues. The first link has a mixed pack on the first page with some aquas.

The Paper Company's phone numbers are listed on their site.
Thanks for the links! They aren't the exact ones I'm looking for, but I will certainly take a look around. Some of those papers are gorgeous. Thanks again.
bjeans you are one of the very few on this board that can get me to look at something and I get enabled, lol. I love mulberry paper. That store's paper is stunning.
Though that site's "news and events" page errors out...
I’d seen that too - and got excited about the two-tone aqua! - but lots of pages give 404 errors: Contact Us, Order Samples, About Us, etc. Since it’s not a secure site I looked for a phone number, since occasionally I’ll place orders by phone with a legit company with an unsecured site.

A local art supply store sells mulberry paper in large sheets and I still have some that looks like wonky squares with strings hanging off the edge. But I’m not going to stores at all - high risk.
bjeans for light mulberry paper- I was watching a video the other day. The lady I was watching she backs her specialty paper on to cardstock and then cuts it out with her die cut machine. She used a glue stick.
I wonder if Heat & Bond would work for thinner papers. You could layer mulberry paper on a double sided adhesive sheet.
The ficus leave paper is gorgeous you shared. I am so enabled, ROFL!
I love mulberry paper. It is so divine. Crossing fingers it makes a comeback. I love unique paper.
I don't blame you. I am not going to non-essential stores either. Least it gives us a chance to find cool new online stores and give them lots of love.
Thinking about this, and looking at all the gorgeous mulberry papers out there, has inspired me to dig out my paper making kit and make some hand-made papers. I have lots of scraps, and a paper shredder, and a blender that hasn't gotten a lot of love lately. Hmmmmm.
I'm such a sucker for handmade paper and this one is so pretty I bookmarked this site. I still have some similar papers from back in the day, including a roll of beautiful red mulberry. I think it might be time to play "what's old is new again."

What projects are you all doing with mulberry paper? I think I have some sheets still lurking in the bottom of a drawer. That was one thing I thought about reviving this year but I haven't pulled it out yet.

I'm planning to use it to cover hand-made art journals and to make some very special cards.

It tears beautifully (which is to say, irregularly), so it can be very pretty on a background, especially if you make origami that are flat, like the shirt that's so popular. Dies don't really like it, so as someone mentioned earlier in this thread, I back mine with light cardstock before cutting. That said, you can imagine what beautiful die-cut flowers and leaves this stuff makes.

I have several packages of mulberry paper (sorry, not the cardstock). Would love to see new ideas on using it.
I usually use the paper as a background or to mat my focal point on a card. It does tear beautifully and if you use a bit of water you can pull on the paper to get a pretty "feathered" edge. I used to either cut it a bit bigger than I needed and run a water brush along the edge to pull and feather it, or I would use the water brush to run a straight or curved line allowing me to "cut" it out of a bigger piece. I hope that makes sense.

I would LOVE to see Mulberry Paper revived here! LOL My hubby bought me a huge amount when I first began stamping. I too LOVE the feathery tear! It isn't colored though. He found it on Dick Blick!
I haven't checked, but they PROBABLY have the colored too, so you might want to check there! ;)<3

I have off-white mulberry paper with embedded strings in an uneven window pane pattern.
It takes watercolor well since it’s porous. I haven’t tried other mediums but dye inks should work and it could be worth experimenting.
I die cut a medium flower and it die cut well, which surprised me. I also dry embossed it and it worked, but didn't show up well. May need the right paper/EF to show up. So a couple more ideas to work with. Good to know about the watercoloring working well.
I love Mulberry Paper! My husband commented on a card I made for him years ago (he's a real texture guy), so I always try to incorporate in the cards I make him. I just finished (literally) a card using it. I didn't have the color I wanted, so I dyed it using reinkers. I usually use it for background and texture.
My friends used to call me the mulberry queen as I used it so often on my cards! I have a few ATC's from 2007 in my gallery with mulberry - a blast from the past! Recently a friend gave me a pack of mulberry paper... I should dust that off and remember why I loved using it!

I should never, ever gone to that site. You are SO bad for me!
I do wonder, with their heavier embossed paper, if you couldn't use inks to get your two toned look: i.e. use broken china or tumbled glass on one side, and then go with peacock feathers (or a blue of your choice) on the other? I'd do the lightest color first, so that if there was any bleed through, it wouldn't affect the application of the lightest as much - although that could be really pretty, add to the marbling effect. And some of their paper packs: https://www.mulberrypaperandmore.com...per-packs.aspx

I saw those luscious packs but already was in trouble here so didn’t link to them.
I’d use Speckled Egg! I bet inks would work fine, and on the same side too. And spritzed with water if using Oxides. I’ll have to experiment. Even try a little smooshing on a craft mat, right?
Coincidentally, I was on Fran’s Frantic Stamper’s site and stumbled across huge numbers of mulberry flowers and leaves. I’m not a 3D paper flower user, but it shows how usable this paper is. Search Results

Oh yeah, speckled egg - perfect! Wouldn't that be fun. And some spritzing with the stains after. Oh lordy...too many options!

Thanks for the suggestion to dye or ink the paper. I might give that a try if I have to settle for something that isn't quite right. Or I'll buy some in white. Someone on another board is kindly sending me some of what we think is the same paper, but I'm loving all the papers I'm finding during my search.
I have loads of the large sheets of mulberry papers as well as quite a few sheets of handmade papers that I bought over 10 years ago.
Would love to see some projects that use it.
This is one of my favorite mulberry paper artists- Merveilles Enpapier - YouTube She is not a crafter. She is an artist. Her inspiration is mind blowing the sculptures and flowers she makes with mulberry paper.
Things I make with mulberry paper- flowers, plants, succulents, backgrounds, tear animals. Yes, I still love tear animals. I have stamped on it. That was years and years ago though.

You are one to ask this question.... I have the thin paper. Noticed a few samples: owls, birds, spiders. even grass, where the edges were "torn" but the centers were also "fluffy" (for lack of a better term). [I played around with ideas, but wasn't successful]. I was especially interested in the "feathery" look for the birds. (I have an owl die coming next week). I finally found instructions for the tear animals and they use the heavier paper to "fluff/rough" up the middle. That does not work with the thinner paper. Thank you for the link to the artist. She uses the thinner paper and on the video about the 1:25 mark she uses a small scrunched piece (possibly wet?) of mulberry paper and some how attaches it (glue?) on her critter. That might be a way to achieve the feathery look. Since you have done the tear animals, did you use the heavy paper or the lighter weight paper or both. Do you know how I might could make the birds look like they had fluffy feathers in the middle using the mulberry paper? The mulberry paper just adds a soft feathery look that to me looks very unique and would fun to figure this out. Appreciate any suggestions. ~ Mary
I haven't done a tear "bear" bird. Over the years I know the tear bear artists have used real feathers. I noticed most of them did use thicker paper for feathers when just using only mulberry paper. The results were cute but not fluffy bird feather look. There was one tear artist at Scrapbook.com that did a turkey with thinner paper she nailed the feather look perfectly. I would link it but it's a forum so I don't know if it's allowed over here. I would try taking a sample of the thinner paper and using the softest of the wire brushes to see if that would give a softer effect for bird feathers. Make sure your piece is dry before fluffing. I use a light touch because you can keep fluffing until you get the look you want to achieve. I have seen a lot of people start fluffing the paper like they were trying to brush out a real life gorilla.
I have always used thicker paper for my animals. I have used thinner for elements but I did not fluff those. I had a lot of good resources at one time for tear animals. Sadly a lot of those sites are now defunct.
DeeAnn, you made me laugh out loud about like brushing out a real life gorilla. And thanks for the info. Not planning on trying feathers... Just the soft look like how the brushed out edges look. Will see what I can come up with. Appreciate your suggestions!
