Is it true that you can use these dies with a rolling pin? Of course I don't have one of those either, but figured it would be cheaper than buying a cuttlebug!
I think you can use the embossing folders with the rolling pin, but not the dies.

I tried it and it didn't work. You have to push hard on that thing, and it's just to much work...so I just got the cuttlebug instead. lol
I got my paisley too, as soon as I got the e-mail, and it's been shipped as well. Now if only they'd come out with that frosty/sledding folder I'm waiting on!
I am sorry, but what is the folder, are they the parts that emboss the paper?
An embossing folder is a plastic "folder" that you put your cardstock into and run through the Cuttlebug. It dry embosses your cardstock. A die is something that cuts out shapes.
The Cuttlebug paisley die that everybody is talking about is not for embossing. It cuts out paisley shapes. Cuttlebug does not have a paisley embossing folder yet that I know of anyway. If I'm wrong, somebody please clarify. I wish they did though. I love paisley!
Wow! Shipping is EXPENSIVE at that Happy Scrappin' site. I put two A2 folders in my cart for a total of $8.48 and the shipping is $5.00!! That's totally insane.

Our Michael's here in Evansville, IN has all the new realeases in. I got the paisley and the also have the cancer ribbon and so many more. They are toooooooo cute. I need to find a job to keep me in my habit or really get busy and start selling the things that I have made. What an addiction!!!!!! I think it is worse than my smoking habit.
Some may say smoking is worse, but I could get in a car wreck going to Michael's getting Cuttlebug stuff and the $1.00 clear stamps. So when it's your time, it's your time no matter what you do.
I forgot to mention there is a really good website that I order from quite a bit and it's called Crazyscraps. Alot of times they are our of Cuttlebug folders and dies, but keep checking back and they usually will get them in. The best part of all, they usually are always 15% off.
That's great. I ordered two new embossed ones, the snowman with snowflakes and the textiles embossed folder. Also, I ordered the 4 scallop punches. I can't wait to get those either. I MUSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT stop!!!!!!
I get alot of my websites off of here and go into them and just start ordering away. Oh well, they say you can't take your money with you when your gone, so you might as well enjoy while you can.
I have both the stamp set and the die cut. The big paisley is about the same size as the die cut but you can't stamp on it. The die is a two step die and all the innards are cut out. There isn't really any place to stamp.
I order all my cuttlebug stuff from http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/ Joy and Daisy are super fast at shipping and I even bought a set of Alphabets because they have them on sale!!
Pictures pictures of the paisley die folder. After using my sister in laws cuddlebug yesterday. I now have the fever. I have to get one now. I love this and yes the price is right which makes it so much easier with a M's coupon.
I couldn't find the paisley die folder on the site you gave .Wjere exactlly did you see it.

I broke down and bought 2 folders even though I still don't have the cuddle bug yet. This way I can load up on folders until I have enough to get the bug itself.

I thought I could live without this die but my resistance has been diminished. Going to Michael's next week and hopefully they will have it so that I can save on shipping.
There is an embossing folder that is paisley too. but i've not seen that in person yet.
so to answer some previous posts there are paisley Die Cuts and paisley embossing folders.
Does anyone know if there is a place online to view the cuttlebug paisley embossing folder? I've never heard of this one and would just like to see it so that I can become obsessed with getting it if I like it.
There is no Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder yet. There is an Ellison Paisley Texture plate that comes with the Big Impressions Starter Kit.
Doodlebug Designs have some embossed white 12" x 12" paper - a few designs - one of which is Paisley. I bought quite a few embossed sheets at my LSS today - they are fab!
I have to tell you -- the title of this post just makes me giggle. I expected to read a post about how a paisley-patterned beetle had a run-in with a can of insecticide and did not survive.
Every time it bumps back to the top it takes me by surprise again and makes me laugh! Thanks, OP, for a fun title!
Hello All: I was browsing the CB thread to see if I could find the link to using the rolling pin method on the CB embossing folders. I currently don't own a CB *sigh*. BUT I thought I would pass on this info for those of you looking for a PAISLEY embossing folder. I went into Archiver's one time for a demo on the Big Shot and Ellison carries textured folders called the Big Impressions kit. The kit comes with different kinds of patterns including the paisley pattern. I believe the the size is comparable to the CB embossing folders. They sell for $19.99 for the kit. Archiver's sells these kits for the same price. You can use their 25-30% off coupons if you get their newsletter in the mail.
