Default which one to buy.....help

My DH has offered to buy me a new laptop and printer and now I am in panic mode because I don't know which ones to get. I better hurry up and make up my mind before he changes his! hehehe

Of course because I am a scrapbooker I want to be sure to buy ones that will do everything I need. I would like to have an all-in-one printer, scanner, copier but would also like to get good quality pics.

I have read several of the threads about printers and now I am confused. I just don't know what to buy. I do not plan to print all of my pics at home. I have a Wal-Mart two miles from home and I am very happy with the pics I get from them. Every once in a while I will have a need to resize a pic for a craft or an old size frame like 2x2 or something like that. I need to be able to scale down the size and then print it out.

My DH likes the new wireless ones that are out. He said then I could take my laptop and printer with me when I go on my scrapbooking weekends with the girls. Sounds good to me.

I am looking at the Canon Pixma MP620 and the HP J6480 and the Epson Workforce 600 Does anyone have either of these? Any suggestions or recommendations?

Love my HP all in one, the editing software that came with it is easy to use, too. I would check out consumer reports, read an article or two to decide what features you are looking for the most, and buy based on their reviews. I always use them for "big" purchases...some of the features you will not even have thought of until you read the reviews...

Default Thanks

Thanks for the response. I have done a bit of research online but just thought I would see what other SCS girls thought.

stampin4u....I can't advise on any one particular model of computer or printer. It is very confusing when you start looking at all of them. What I would say is to decide what you want to do on/with the computer (what uses you have for it.....do you want to play games, watch videos, download music, use internet, create documents and other material, ect.). The same with the printer.....what uses do you have for the printer? For instance, I need mine to be adjustable for various sizes of paper, envelopes I want to print with it.

Having all these things decided will help when you go into the store and talk to a clerk. That way they will be better able to direct you to the equipment that best will fit your needs.

Personally, I would not suggest purchasing either over the internet. You want the ability to see, touch and have a demo of the equipment you will be purchasing. If store purchase is not an option, then you have to be all the more carful since return can be difficult.
