I bought the ovals first since I have a Cricut to cut circles, scalloped circles, squares and scalloped squares. I now have all of the most used shapes.
Besides HL - You can also sign-up for the VIP coupon (40% off retail price of $84.99 + shipping - comes to about $15 a set including shipping) at
www.ucutathome.com. They will send you a coupon every month that you can use for the Nesties. I bought my complete set of ovals there. The only thing is that the Nesties are often backordered because they are so popular - I waited for over a month for mine, but well worth it.
In all, it just depends on what you use on your cards the most. Happy Shopping and enjoy the Nesties! They are addicting once you start using them!
BTW, instead of buying the tan mat for embossing, you can substitute a red rubber gasket you can buy at HD in the plumbing section. I think it was only $4 for a pack of 2 (they are size 6x6). You don't have to cut it down.
Here is my sandwich stack recipe:
- Plate A
- Plate B
- Cardstock/Nestie (smooth side down)
- Scrap Cardstock (2-3 on top of the nestie)
- Red rubber mat
- Plate B
Sometimes to get a good impression I add some folded up printer paper in between to get a snug fit between the Nestie and rubber mat (without breaking the plates - LOL!).
Have fun!
