can i offer an alternative? I use a tape/glue runner which is the same thing as the mono adhesive by Adtech, available at michaels for $2.99 US and Walmart i think is $2.24. With a 40% at michaels i think it comes out to about $1.90 (with tax at 7%). The refill has 2 refills in it at that price. and the dispenser is one filled dispenser for that price also. I used to swear by mono adhesive, now it's adtech. At michaels it's in the regular fixatives and adhesive aisle, hanging up in the top row, and at walmart, it's in the scrapbooking area. hope this helps!

I have tried the Adtech stuff that Walmart sells and the stuff used to break so much that I finally quit buying it and switched to the Tombow Mono Adhesive which I do like. I use it with the Tombow Multi. I buy my Mono Adhesive from the penwa seller on ebay and buy them in lots of 24 for $54. and that includes shipping and get them within a few days.

This past week I bought a bunch of the Mono multi at Hobby Lobby for $1.50 each when they had their adhesives on sale for half price.. now that's a deal!

Wow - I would have loved that sale at Hobby Lobby... too bad it's an hour away and I never know when there's a good deal.

I completely agree about the AdTech stuff. I tried it in a pinch when I had run out and it was such a nightmare ~ fortunately I didn't buy too much because it ended up in the trash. Then I learned that a local store has the Tombow mono for less than SU's SNAIL. It is the exact same thing and they are interchangeable in the dispensers. But that ebay site is certainly a great deal and I'll be looking into it - thanks for the tip!

There was a banner ad here for an online business - I think ubstamping?? I tried to go there but the site malfunctioned.... things would go into my cart and then I could never get back to the shopping page. It bounced me all over.

I just ordered too! I'm always picking up a couple refills whenever I go to the craft store. Michael's sells them for $3.99 and I don't pay sales tax in NH, and they're $4.50 in the SU! catalog plus S&H. Tombo is the brand SU! uses, so there's no difference besides the price.

I go through this stuff real quick, so I bought 24 - just enough to get the free shipping!

If I remember right, (and please correct me if I am wrong) a single Mono refill has more tape on it than 2 of the Adtech refills do.
