Default Does that red sticky tape hold glitter well?

Hello...I have some terrifically tacky red tape and poured glitter on it....have never tried this before, I only have MM glitter right now which is NOT super fine, will it hold? I want to sell this card and don't want all the glitter to just fall off!!

Thanks

Rub the glitter in really well and it should be fine.

I agree! SU's Sticky Cuts are made from that same stuff I believe, and they are designed to be used with glitter!

Yes it should hold. I agree with the comment to rub it (press it on) quite firmly. Perhaps add a sheet of wax paper on top and press hard. Also, be careful not to touch it. It's hard when removing the top layer not to get your finger on it at times, but the oil/dirt from your hands will really decrease the stickiness.

You can put wax paper over it then use a brayer.

I did this with microbeads and 2 years later none rub off so I think it should work equally well with glitter.

Here is a picture that my friend, Chanda, made. If you read in the comment section, she tells how she got her glitter to match her card. The glitter part is towards the bottom of her card:

Martha Stewart has very fine glitter in lovely colors. You can find it at Michaels and use a coupon. Sometimes they also have it at Walmart.

I use i {stick} papers redline tape with glitter, beads, anything and it holds up just fine. It takes heat too. It was originally designed for car manufacturers to hold plastic parts together (isn't it great to know our cars are being held together with redline tape??) so it is heat resistant short term up to 392 F and long term up to 176 F. I don't think all redline tapes are but if you're looking to emboss as well, it's an idea for you.

I was at my local Big lots--they had a bunch of card kits from Martha Stewart--they were marked down to $2, but inside had like 4 bottles of ultra fine glitter. that's a great price for that amount of glitter.

Thank you
Martha Stewart makes the best fine glitter around, IMO. And you can get mega packs with tons of variety with a coupon for pretty cheap.

The red-liner tape is brilliant for glitter.
