The Plantin Schoolbook, which comes with the Expression, makes a regular rectangular envelope. The Zoo Balloo and the Celebrations cartridges both have a square envelope, and the Wild Cards Cartridge has a bunch of different shaped envelopes. I don't have very many cartridges, but these are the ones I have that have envelopes. I'm sure a lot of the other cartridges have them. Take a look at the Cartridge Samples for each of the carts at the cricut site

That will help you decide which you "have" to have! LOL
Hope That Helps!!!

Default envelopes cricut

I too have the carts the other poster referred to. I have not tried them yet, but I think you would have to work with the measurements to get the envelope to cut the size you want. I'm sure with a little playing you can get the A2...it seems the wild card cart has the most choices for envelopes.

Default cricut envelopes

I would think that if you cut a 3"card, you can make a 3" envelope for it and so on and so on. Not sure exactly what size an a2 would be on the cricut. I would try for you but I am on my way to boston in about an hour, so if you cant get an answer by wed. let me know and I will see what I can come up with for you

Using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, you cut the envelope at 5 1/4" and it cuts perfectly for a quarter fold card. which I believe uses an A2 envelope.
