I want to make my own brads like the ones in SU's Build a Brad, but I want different sizes. I really like the Basic Grey glazed brads, which are like a medium size (as compared to SU's large size), and I'd like to make my own to coordinate with some of my SU and PTI papers. Anyone know of anything like this? TIA!
I have no idea what sizes the SU build a brad kit makes, nor what size the BG brads are, BUT I do know that Around The Block is making a Brad Maker, with a finished brad size of ~20 mm across, which is just a shade larger than 3/4 inches. 7kidscollegefund has them on preorder right now: http://www.7kidscollegefund.com/THE_...p/atb11050.htm
I just looked it up and SU's are 1/2 inch across. I'd guess that the Basic Grey ones are 1/4 inch across, and then they also have the regular size brads that are really common. I'd like to be able to make both of those sizes, so the item you describe is too big, but thanks!
I make fake brads by punching out paper in whatever color I want and whatever size and put crystal lacquer over it. Looks like a build a brad without the prongs.
