Check out Karen Burniston's dies. She's the queen of pop ups....fabulous. Many stores carry her dies from Elizabeth Crafts but can also be ordered directly from EC.

Just another day on SCS! I was scrolling through, looking at new posts, and here it was!
Who knew that I just could not live without these wonderful dies that I did not even know about until I read this.:p
Went to Youtube and watched the videos, and went straight to Amazon and ordered some of these.
My birthday is coming this month - so Happy Birthday to me!
And thanks, (I think.)

I have many of her dies. She started with Sizzix with the steel dies. Also designed for SU with Sizzix dies. Her dies are now wafer dies so they are more economical and have extra pieces for embellishments. So much easier to store.
Some are easier to use than others. She has how-to-videos on all her Elizabeth Craft dies. It took me a bit to get the bench looking good but once I got the hang of it..wowsie. I am currently making many of the Hanging Charm Pull Tab. Also her accordion cards. Oh her Eiffel Tower....wonderful. The barn and animals are very fun.
I have some of them. I could not get the bench one to look good.
I passed on that one. It looked a bit "fiddley" to me. I got the Lots of Pops, the Lucy Label, and the Agatha Edge dies. I think I can do a lot with those, using my own stamped and fussy cut images.

They're addictive. Check out her youtube videos.
Which video helped you most with the bench one? I really love the look and would like to get it to look as well as they show.
I got the bench with some of my "Moddy Christmas" Amazon gift cert - I like to get stuff that I wouldn't ordinarily buy from my own personal budget when I have something like that. I cut it out in white card when it arrived - and reading this thread gave me the push to make it into a card. Haven't uploaded it yet because I may use it as a sample for an upcoming WT challenge - but I had a blast. It was easier than I was expecting - but I am definitely going to make a template for the DP for decorating the inside with (I didn't feel like going down the stamping and sponging route for the background).
Watch her youtube videos. One of my favorite things she does is to change up her dies. She likes to get variety from each die....ie...Jinks the Monkey into a sock monkey.....course I'm a sucker for any sock monkey!
Here's a preview of mine. I think I'll be using this more than I expected. I might even have been able to justify it out of my regular budget, but I didn't know that!! It's just a snap with my phone at night, but I will be uploading a proper picture to my gallery some time this month.

I have wanted the bench die since I first saw it last year, and I want the adirondack chair and the pivot house and the barn (though I can't for the life of me think of what I'd do with it. LOL)
I have one of her older Sizzix dies that cuts a card with a pop-out circle in the center. This is a good basic shape that you can glue most anything on. Last Christmas, I fitted it with a hand-cut snowdrift and added some skis. On another card, I glued on a fireplace. It is fiddly work, but if I can do it anyone can.
But I also thought I'd show the little template that I made for cutting the background and foreground pieces. Some people may find it helpful. I just embossed half the bench (along the score line) into a piece of white card. That gave me the indentations necessary to cut out two little strips which allow the background panel to be attached to the pop-up panel. I'd been thinking about sponging/stamping the panel to decorate it - but then you still have big cut-out pieces missing, where the bench was cut from the base, so for me using inserts like this is the way to go.
The first attachment shows the template - the same piece works for the backdrop and the ground.
The second shows a detail of the card with added background - I save the little strips that I cut out, and stick them back in when I stick the pop-up panel into the finished card base.
My other top tip is to make sure the fold lines are well scored before folding the bench - I've started to go over mine with a fine stylus.
I have bunches of pop up dies just have not used them yet..hope to get to them soon.
What Amber said!
I enjoy making pop up cards. When my Stamping Friend and I get together at her house, that's what we usually make. the funny thing is that I rarely make them when I am alone.
