I think one of the catties had an example of a pillowbox cut from acrylic and mini gummy dots were used on the folded strip. A colorful ribbon was tied around the ends. The fold was on the backside and the colorful ribbon was used to attract you eyes away from the visible gummy dots. Also, the items used to fill the box could be used to distract the eyes from the visible adhesive - colorfully wrapped candy with colored shredded paper filler, etc.

I have also heard a suggestion of placing a paper sleeve in the acrylic box. i.e. solid color c/s, solid colored c/s with stamping on it, designer paper, etc.

Good luck!

I use Sticky Strip from SU. It can be seen slightly, but I make sure the seam is to the back and once the pillow box is filled and you add some ribbon and a tag or other embellishments to the outside, it simply seems to "disappear"
