Default Papertrey scalloped border dies

Can anyone tell me how big the individual scallops are on PaperTrey's medium and large sized scallop border?

By that - I mean - how wide is each scallop ?

Thanks so much!

I was unable to find that info on Papertrey's site.

Try this post from Nichole's preview, I think from Feb, 2010:

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capt...on-plates.html

You'll need to scroll down a bit. It doesn't give dimensions of each scallop, but states that they are proportioned to fit with no overhang on the 5 1/2 inch side of a card.

Hope this helps!

I only have the large scallop die, and each scallop is 1 1/8".

I have the medium PTI die, and each scallop measures 3/4". A strip of 5 scallops measures about 4".

I make a lot of cards that are standard size, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. This 5-scallop strip fits very nicely across my inside layer, which is usually 4" x 5-1/4".

I cut the strips 4" x 1-1/2" first to fit my layer and run the die through my Cuttlebug.

The actual die is about 8-3/4" long and has 11 scallops across. I just cut the shorter strips to fit the 4" layer because the Cuttlebug plates aren't long enough to cut a whole strip at once.

I love the PTI border dies. I just got the regular and jumbo ric rack and also the lace eyelet border die.

I have all 3 border dies but I don't use them often because they leave an impression at the edge due to the die shape. I haven't figured out how to get rid of that line when I die cut a border (most PTI cards I've seen using the border dies ties a ribbon around where the impression is to hide it).
