I have had my eye on this paper trimmer: Deluxe Craft Bypass Paper Trimmer (12") / Crafting / Products - Buy Online (Price $79.00) | Fiskars but I don't want to purchase something I will not use. Has any of you used this one? Do you own it? Recommendations please! I know there are so many posts out there about which trimmer is your favorite, but I am asking specifically about this one. I have a 50% so it wouldn't cost as much as the link says...
Sorry...this is a new one on me. I have the making memories one and I guess I am one of the blessed ones. I love mine. I love the fact that it has a magnetic ruler that I can use to do precise cuts each time. Especially for cutting out base paper for cards on a production style. Blessings on your decision. Have fun!!!
I have this one. Really Nice!!! At 50% off would be a good deal
Are measurements clearly marked and does it cut straight? I am currently using an x-acto cutter I got at Staples, and while I love the cutting, it seems like the lines aren't quite straight. I don't think it's my paper because it seems off on all my paper. It's also ahard to follow the lines. I still have that 50% off for today and one for tomorrow at another store. They're the same price at either store so I have some time. Plus if I don't get it this round, I'm sure I will find another 50% in my inbox again soon! Thanks for your response.
Not yet. I don't want to spend $40 on something I haven't researched enough. I have a paper cutter that is fine for now. You know how you buy something and then something better comes out? I don't want to do that. So it's research time yet.
I have had success with mine. You could always return it if it isn't what you want. I hold the paper with my left hand and make sure the lines on the left are lined up. I have had no problems with mine. Kindly

Thanks. I picked one up for 50% off today and will give it a try. So far so good. I did not put the blue safety shield on though. I heard they break off easily and just get in the way anyway so I just left it off. I don't have any little kids around and I think I can operate it safely enough without it.
IS the Cutter good?? WOuld you recommend it?? I too am looking for a good Cutter, Mines is Slightly off on Cuts and Score
Thanks
So far so good. I bought the black one at ACMoore, but it looks just like Michaels blue one. Like I said, I didn't put the shield on. I heard it was such a pain to work around. I like the aluminum base and it's slightly wider than 12 inches. It's also marked for different size cuts. I picked up a fiskars triple track cutter too for cutting smaller pieces and for making cuts like you need on stair step cards and such. It has a wire that shows you exactly where you will be cutting in the track. I would recommend both.
