Oh My. Foil Paper or Foil Cardstock
i need help!! I ran into Mikes and grabbed what I thought was gold and silver cardstock For die cuts on Tags.
When I opened the gold it was very thin and flimsy with silver backing instead of usual white. I looked on the back of the package and the sticker said “foil paper”.
It was in with the other regular foil cardstock. What can I use to adhere it to my tags, I usually use Tombow multi.
Just wondering if I can use this or should I return and get regular cardstock as I anticipated.
Thanks so much......Boy was I surprised.
It did die cut fine just so flimsy.

Update.
I decided to check my other packages and they were all fine. Took the flimsy one back to Mikes and they just want changed for new...no questions asked.
I think what may have happened is the foil never got adheared to the cardstock backer.
Guess it’s another thing that got passed by quality control people

Anyone know where I can find matte foil cardstock in jewel tones? Would LOVE to find a multi color pack somewhere!

Both from Joann: DCWV Neutral Metallics...VERY soft sheen...as dull as it can get and still be 'metallic.' and Parklane 'bright metallic'. Pretty and rich colors, similar (lack of) sheen to the Neutrals. These are both 12 x 12 stacks.
I think they have similar things in pastels.
Joann often has all cardstock 40 or 50% off, and often has low or free shipping.

Thank you - I also like quiet metallics. Link to Park Lane Neutral Metallics:

Not what’s being looked for, but Neenah has very light, soft metallics. I have some and just noticed them on the same page:

Any time you make a card you do at least 8 things that are 20 times more difficult. If you ever want to know how to do it, yell.

You might look under " shimmer paper" as well. Those come in metallics and are not glossy.
Tonic studios has quite a bit of them but not in a multi packs. But their packs are only 5 sheets and like 2.69 each so not a big commitment. Now-they have both shimmer and what they call SATIN which is a dull finish. I would say more dull than the shimmer.
To use a link you just click on it and it takes you to where the poster is suggesting.

Thanks forl the information. Tonic Studios had exactly what I was looking for..it is called "Satin Finish" Metallic/Foil cardstock. I found similar products at other sites but they didn't have it in the jewel tones I needed.
So wonderful to have the help from this forum! Thank you!

Glad you found it! Tonic has some of the best metallic cardstock. I have packs of textured, silk finish in gold and silver - just enough shine to be blingy but not loud.

I think this is what’s in my stash. I just used it for a card for my veterinarian’s office but the various names throw me:

I forgot that I put the vet’s card in the gallery. Not a good photo but you might be able to see the quieter satin interspersed with shiny streaks.
