Default New SU! Paper Cutter

I love the new SU! paper cutter -- straight, true cuts every time. The blades though . . . the long life of the blades was one of the selling points, but I don't find that they last longer than the old ones did. I watched a video from one of the "big name" YouTubers who said "I haven't had to change my blade yet!" I'm well into my second pack of blades since the new trimmer came out. It seems unlikely that I cut more paper than this very successful SU! demo. I do all the things -- cut both ways, clean out the track, don't press to hard. I know blades are a consumable, like adhesive and paper. It just seems that I consume them very quickly. What has been your experience?

If I stay away from cutting chipboard, magnet sheets and other tough stuff, for just photos, paper and card stock the blades seem to last about 50% longer than the previous cutter.

Thanks Mary Beth - I guess I must be more heavy handed than I think I am!
