Default Nestabilities and the Big Shot

I know this has beem discussed over and over but I can't find the threads. I am tempted to make the plunge and get some Nestabilities. What other items do I need to make these work with my machine?

Do you have the multi-purpose platform with it? If so, that is the same set-up that I have. I can tell you that all you need to order with the Nestabilities is the tan embossing mat. Actually, you only need 1, but I couldn't find anyone who sold just 1, so I had to buy the pack of 2.
To cut, it's:
the platform (all tabs closed)
acrylic mat
Nestabilities (punch side up)
your paper
another acrylic mat

To emboss, its:
the platform - use tab 1
acrylic mat
Nestabilities (punch side up)
your paper
tan embossing mat
another acrylic mat

hope that helps! let me know if I can be of any other help!

I do not have the multi-purpose platform, so what can I order, if at all, from the same source in order to use the Nestabilities?

um, I think there is a way to use it with the plain white think pad (which is what I assume is what you have). But since I don't have it, I'm not sure. Here is what Ellen Hutson suggests: http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/ellen...ies/index.html

HTHs!

I would go to www.paperdreamsstore.com. You can order the MPP and Texturz Starter Kit these are Sizziz or Elison items. Then I would order the Nestabilities.
The Texturz Kit has embossing plates like the Fiskars ones and a silicone mat for embossing. I have these and love using them. I will be ordering the Nestabilities after Christmas. Hope this helps I look forward to playing with new toys!! Or should I say tools???

Hi! I have a Big Shot and I use the following accessories regularly with all of my different companies dies including nestabilities:

Multipurpose platform: http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?funct...mNumber=655091

Embossing starter kit which includes texture plates: http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?funct...mNumber=654376

Embossing rubber pad by itself: http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?funct...mNumber=655121

The embossing plastic plate by itself also used for embossing dies: http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?funct...mNumber=655120

These are the accessories I use all of the time with my Big Shot. You can find good deals when using coupons at Joann.com. That's where I got a lot of these accessories, but I just gave you the Sizzix.com links because I could find them easily.

I went to Ellen Hutson's blog for my sandwich recipes for the nestabilities. Here's the link: http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/ellen...ies/index.html

Hope that helps you! I love my Big Shot and the Nestabilities dies are AWESOME! I wish I had ordered them before I had bought most of the marvy punches!

I finally caved in and ordered all the rectangles, scalloped and plain. I am excited to try them out. I am sure I can find a home for them if I decide I don't like them but from what I see and hear I don't think that will be happening. Now to play the waiting game.......I would love to invent a machine that would allow us to order and magically our stuff appears as soon as we hit the "pay" button. Silly me!!!:p
