Default Mod Podge

I'm altering a recipe box and adding fabric on the top. Would a thin coat of Mod Podge work to add the fabric? The fabric is really thin (it was a napkin), and I didn't know if the MP would make the fabric stiff. Thanks!

Hi.
The mod podge will make the material stiff but it will also make it stick to the box.

YES, I have tried MP on fabric. But it does make it stick if that's your goal.
