Missing some Retired Colors?
Now that I am finally about out of Handsome Hunter and Brocade Blue, Bordering Blue and Going Gray, I am wondering if someone has found a near match to these or ANY retired color card stocks that someone else might be missing? To purchase a few sheets at a time from someone else can be quite costly and near impossible to get in some cases, so I am asking: what you are buying now to "fill the void?"
If you have, please post your color and where you are finding or ordering it from.
Gina K. Designs' All Spruced Up is a good match for Handsome Hunter, though it is textured. She also has a blue called Little Boy Blue, that's (IMO) halfway in between Bordering Blue and Brocade Blue. I'm planning to order that when my SU blues run out.
Other than that, I haven't found matches for SU's retired colors, but then the only cardstock I buy besides SU is Gina K., and I don't have all her colors yet to make enough comparisons.

I took a few sheets of old favorites to some large scrapbook stores and found matches for all in Bazzill. However, it is hard to find the right color in the finish and size, as most stores cannot stock all the Bazzill selections at one time. The colors are out there, you just have to hunt. TIP: when you find a match, write down the color name and number! I did not do this so next time I'm back to square one, holding up SU! old colors to the Bazzill racks.

PTI has several matches or close matches to retired SU colors:
Terracotta Tile is a bit darker than Dusty Durango
Summer Sunrise for Marigold Morning
Plum Pudding for Perfect Plum
Aqua Mist for Mint Melody
Hibiscus Burst for Positively Pink
Berry Sorbet is darker than Cameo Coral
Simply Chartreuse for Kiwi Kiss
Hawaiian Shores for Cool Caribbean
Melon Berry for Groovy Guava
Scarlet Jewel is in between Bravo Burgundy and Baroque Burgundy
Sweet Blush for Blush Blossom
TIP: when you find a match, write down the color name and number! I did not do this so next time I'm back to square one, holding up SU! old colors to the Bazzill racks.

That only works if your store is kind enough to label the colors. Mine didn't! :(
I miss so many of the old colors and am using almost all my remaining bordering blue for Christmas cards this year. The color I am most interested in finding a replacement for is Green Galore! I have so many DP that coordinate with that color and I just loved it!
