At Micheal's today
Stopped into Micheal's today to get a magazine. Got some great ribbon in the dollar bin, fun colors/designs. For anyone who is liking the cowboy stamps they had some fun ribbon that would coordinate well. They also has some cut ice cream cone, sprinkle, birthday type ribbon. kim

I was there yesterday! bought the cowgirl ribbon to match the SU! wanted set... may need to go back for the 'chicken ribbon!' very fun! Also bough some fun stick-on rhinestones in the dollar bin.
It is scary sometimes - the day after stampingbella released the wine drinking bella they had major wine related stuff there...!

Sounds fun. Hope I can trek over tomorrow. My local paper hasn't had a coupon in over a month. What's up with that? Anyone else experiencing this PROBLEM????

I wish they would add an online coupon with their ad like Hobby Lobby and Joann! I live in a small town and don't ever know what day they will place their ad in the paper. Like you haven't seen a coupon in a while! I also think they only have a sale paper every 2 weeks! Seems like when I do get to Michaels, they aren't having any sales.

I love the stick on rhinestones they've had the past few times I've been in. I have yet to find cute dollar ribbon though. I'll have to try and try again I guess!

I found in our Junk mail papers, two coupon's for 40% off.
1 is for July 1- 3 and the other 1 is July 5-7.
All stamping and scrapping supplies are 25% off. July 1-3
Ribbon by the yard is now 50% off the regular price
Dashes, dots & checks are 2 for $3.00

I went to Michael's yesterday and tried to use my 40% coupon on a Martha Stewart paper punch, and the cashier told me that you can't use the coupons on Martha Stewart stuff. This was news to me. I must have missed the fine print.

My understanding is that her stuff will never be on sale, nor will there ever be a coupon for her stuff.
Is ok with me...I'm not impressed with her line.

Yeppers, no coupons on MS stuff. Fine with me. I certainly don't want to support her.

some bargains are out there on Martha's things :)
Even though you can't use coupons on the MS stuff, I learned here on SCS that some of the seasonal things are clearanced priced. You really have to be looking because the "price cut" tags because they are mixed in with the normal stuff. At my Michaels, these items are out in the center aisle--not down the regular MS aisle. The clearance prices are, in most cases, at least 50% off.

Hey ladies! They also have those cute $1 western staps, has anyone seen those? I bought the paisley, there is also a cowboy boot and about 4 others. btw, our M's is so stingy on their coupons but don't forget to request one at the register if they have one that week. OH! And since they honor competitors coupons, check your Joanns for a flyer, they are having and additional 10% off your whole purchase between the 4th and the 7th INCLUDING sale items! And yes, Michaels has to honor that as long as you bring in the coupon with you.

disappointed in michael's
when they did the new layout of their scrapping section everyone was talking about it. i am so disappointed in the ms line that i have not shopped at michael's in quite awhile! the first thing i'd grab out of the sunday paper was the michael's ad but not anymore! i swear i used to be there 2-3 times a week! yesterday i grabbed the ad and was thrilled that all scrapbooking stuff was on sale....until i got the magnifying glass out to see the fine (extremely fine!!!) print that it excluded the ms line. does she think that her stuff will fly off the shelves??? does she think her stuff is so superior that no one will buy anything else??? every time i go there, her shelves are full so is anyone buying anything??? personally, i am not at all impressed with her line (i do like that punch that looks like a postage stamp though!!) and will not buy anything! i think stampin up! has better stamps, better paper, better inks, cooler embellishments and cool ribbon. (i'm a ribbonaholic and mike's does have some cool ribbons!) anyway.....i just had to put my 2 cents in for what it's worth. i hope her line doesn't go over very well and she takes her stuff and goes home!!! why didn't she put her line in kmart where she has all her other stuff anyway???

Our Michael's will honor the 40% or 50% off a single item coupons but they won't honor the 10% off entire purchase coupons from Joanns.

The Cuttlebug is already on sale at least through the first 3 days of the coupon...I think 25% off...so wait to see if it is reg. price after that so you can use the other coupon. I want one too please!!
I wasnt getting Michaels coupons for several weeks...weird! Then one day I was in the store and the cashier said a coupon went out that week...where the heck was mine?? By the way, the service at my Michaels (Kirkland, WA) has been horrible the last few times I've been there. Their cashiers are awful and not friendly. I'm a little foreward so one day I said something to the cashier in front of a lot of people...she was a grouch and kept asking her supervisor if she could go on break...and treating customers like crap...no way...not happening to me!!
Anyway, I guess I will have to stop by there tomorrow and see if there is anything I need to use my coupon on and check out all the $1 ribbon and stamp stuff you guys are talking about. Every day I swear I'm spending money from all the suggestions and ideas people have on here...you're all a bunch of enablers.

Yeah, the Olympian ran an ad section for Sunday and my employer gets two papers, so I was greedy and grabbed em all. I have even had Michael's (in Chehalis) accept Joann's coupons and not make me drive to Olympia (20 minutes ) So...I grabbed all of the coupons, I'd mail you a set if I thought it'd get to you in time, it expires the 7th and one expires the 3rd...Good thing direct deposit just hit the bank!

Does the 25% discount also have a coupon or is it just a storewide sale?

All scrapbooking stuff (I beleive) is on a sale for 25% off - no coupon needed.
I was just there yesterday hoping to find the Tag Maker Punch Kit but no luck. I did find out that they do take Joann's coupons & Hobby Lobbys! YES! No more having to wait and see when they decide to have an ad (never seems on a schedule lately). The cashier did warn me to look at the Joann coupon to make sure it is not for fabric only - since they do not sell fabric they will not honor that. Made sense to me.
