Default Looking for Detail Bright Gold Embossing Powder...

Is there a Detail Gold Embossing Powder that you have had success with?

I have alot of the Antique Gold Detail embossing powder but it's too dark. I'm looking for a gold similar to a gold foil color. My mom and I made some Anna Griffin cards and the sentiments are done in gold foil.
(In case you want to take a peek- here's the link to all 33 cards together:

Anna Griffin Thank You Cards by iluvpaper2 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

and I posted each one card separately in my gallery also:
Splitcoaststampers Member Galleries - iluvpaper2 - Handmade Cards & Crafts .
In case you have alot of time to look. LOL

Here are two that I used the antique gold embossing powder with Papertrey Ink frame and sentiment -

I have many sentiments and frame stamps that I would like to make my own.

I've tried Colorbox Gold and three other brands of gold then embossed in clear but the sentiments aren't crisp. I also have a Gold Pearl embossing powder that looks great but you have to use a gold pad and I've reinked my pads and they don't emboss evenly.

Thanks for your help in advance.

My personal choice is Stampendous Detail gold EP. Also, you can get different results using a mix of clear embossing ink/gold powder, or gold ink/clear powder or gold ink/gold powder. I think gold on gold gives the strongest result. re the reinked pads not working very well, I tend to put the ink on mine & sort of scrub it in with the nozzle. Then I store them upside down. There is a lot of difference of opinion in how to store pads, right way up or upside down. For me, the thicker pigment ink pads seem to work better kept upside down, but possibly temperature & humidity make a difference too.

Ranger makes an EP called Embossing Pearl. I don't know if it's the one you mention. It's made to use over other colors but I always use it on it's own, just with Versamark. I have the Gold and it is very bright.

Here's a card I made with it, just so you can see. I used it in several places:

Hugs & Kisses

I find it to be the goldest EP I have ever used. It seems to give good detail, but you can look at the card and see if it's what you need.

They also make the same in Pale Gold. Also very bright.

I love Ranger gold powder. They have a regular gold color in addtion to the antique and african gold. The regular gold is what I think you are going for.

I would recommend either the Stampendous or the Ranger if you're looking for a bright, metallic gold.

Just fyi, the Ranger embossing pearls are interference powders and you'll get different results depending on the color of the paper onto which you are embossing:

I guess that's why I got such a bright gold! I was working on black paper!

Now I'll have to go play with some other colors! :-)!

That's the Ranger powder I use for gold embossing.

I LOVELOVELOVE the Filigree Embossing powder made by Stewart Superior. It is superfine and will emboss the finest hair-thin lines in bright shiny gold. Papertrey Ink carries it as well as some other places.

Yup, I agree with you ladies! Ranger Super Fine Detail and Queen's Gold are my faves for detail. Also Tsukineko makes a lovely gold ep if you are not using it for detail.

Does anyone know where to find the Stewart Superior Filigree Embossing powder? I've been looking for it for about a year & haven't found it. I'm afraid it may be like the Pallette ink pads which are becoming just about impossible to find. I thought maybe they just stopped making them.
