http://www.framingsupplies.com/3M/TapeDispenserGuns.htm

This seems to be the site of choice by most SCS gals. I bought mine on ebay, but got my refill tapes from framing supplies. Came fast too!

Yes, www.framingsupplies.com has the best price that I have seen. And it ships out very quickly! I ordered mine on Tuesday afternoon, and it arrived today (Thursday) morning!

Thumbs up great shipping price

I decided to try and order from this source as I need some other items they had, and I purchased 5 rolls of 1/4" tape for $11.95 and other items and only charged $3.95 shipping,

Just one question about the tape from happyscrappin...is the 1/4 inch tape acid free? It does not say it is on the site or I did not see it. Just wondering as findtape.com has some but it does not say it is acid free. I read a thread somewhere that said it did not matter if it said it was or not because there is no real standard for acid free tape. They can just slap the acid free name on it to raise the price. This girl said she worked for a framing company for years and the acid free tape is just like the other one that does not say it is acid free...they just want to be able to charge more for it with the acid free label. I don't know if it is true but would love to know. If anyone can shed any light that would be great!

The cheapest place to buy the non 3M gun and tape is from http://www.findtape.com

I order my refills from them all the time, and they are fast and you can't beat their prices. They also offer the acid free generic tape.

Had anyone used the new red ATG gun. It's for 1/4" so you don't have to get an adapter. I ordered mine and am just curious if anyone else is using this one?

I have the 714, the red tape one, I simply love mine to pieces! Go to the framing site listed above and they have a video on how to load your tape gun. Save it to your desktop and use it any time you need to load your gun, totally simple to do it this way.

I have the red and yellow ones and keep them both loaded with different width tapes since I use them so much. I order a case of tape at a time and it lasts me 9 months give-or-take.

I bought mine at FramingSupplies and was very happy with that experience.... but since then have noticed another supplier, Armel, that has low prices and a generic version of the tape for less than $2 per roll......

Are you paying $10. shipping just for the lightweight tape rolls?
that is what it was calculated for just 5 rolls for me.

At findtape.com is the Scapa T002 what you buy? Is acid neutral the same as acid-free? I want to make sure I can use it with no fear in my scrapbooks.

http://www.findtape.com/product297/J...ransfer%2bTape

Here is the link to the non 3m one I buy for 1.89 at findtape. It says it is not acid free. They do have one that is acid free, it says it at this link.. I don't know how it compares in cost ot other sites. This tape works as well as the 3m.

Has anyone out there used the generic acid free tape from www.findtape.com? Is it worth the dollar savings?

Default Thanks!

Wow! thanks for all or your great responses. I did go thru framingsuppplies...I had odered before Christmas, got a confirmation then got busy and forgot, I never got my order, so I started calling and never got anyone to answer, but I did go ahead and place another order (since it's been over 2 months and I haven't been charged) and it should be here today.
