Question Just purchased a Cuttlebug

Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a Cuttlebug. I have the Cricut Create and last year I bought the Sizzix Embossing Purse because I wanted to use the embossing folders. Those two purchases were just fine. Then I was given some cutting dies and had no way to use them. I tried to rooky duke my embossing purse with all kinds of shims, embossing mats and a cutting mat. It worked but there was stress on my emb. purse. I finally broke down and bought the Cuttlebug with a 50% coupon at ACMoore (Thank goodness for coupons!). What can anyone tell me about the plates as far as what plates have to be replaced because of their usage? The instructions are easy to follow but is there anything else I need to know. I am open to any ideas, tips and well like I said anything else. Too many toys and not enough time. UGH!!!! LOL Thanks, Laurie

B plates are the ones most used and therefore need to be replaced most often. Just don't panic when you run the die through and it leaves a mark on your plate. That's normal and will continue to work well for you. Enjoy your 'Bug!!!

Don't panic when it makes a cracking sound. That's normal.

Just tried my Cuttlebug. I had to use the "C" plate and yes there is a cut in the plate now. No crackle noise yet. OH BOY! I am excited now that I can use those dies. HAPPY DANCE! Heck with dinner it's PLAY TIME! YIPPEE! Laurie
