Yes, you can use SVG files. I hope this won't be confusing. You need to download Inkscape to convert them. Inkscape is a freeware vector program. You can find it at
www.inkscape.org.
Open your SVG file in Inkscape.
Save that file into the DXF format.
Import DXF into the Wishblade software.
I just redid my computer so I don't have the software installed but then you can convert the file into a GSD file to be used in Create & Cute. You do need the original Wishblade software to convert.
I haven't used Create & Cut in a long time but if I remember right you can't import DXF or SVG. You can only use GSD's.
I know and I am sorry that is a lot of information to process.
Also in Create & Cut you will have to clean up the nodes before cutting because all the die cutters change the nodes after converting. It's just a weird quirk.
Martha's WB group over at Yahoo has the best tutorials. Start reading all of them and start slowly.
I am thinking of going to Windows 7 so I have been worried about the cutting on the WB since I heard the drivers are now incompatible.
Congratulations on your new WB. She's a great little machine. A slight learning curve but easily master and you will be cutting in no time.
When looking up at tutorials also try CraftRobo and Silhouette. Both these machines are also made by the same company who made Wishblade. It's manufactured by Graphtec. You will find even more resources when trying to learn your new WB by including these two machines.
HTH!
