I love Stampin' Up inks. The reason I love them because they coordinate with their paper along with their designer series papers. I also like the fact that it does not take them long to dry. SU also has markers that match the colors. SO long answer short, I love SU inks because of the coordination.
The pads also do not dry out fast like others that I have had. SU also sells the reinkers for their pads.
Versafine Onyx Black & Vintage Sepia are two of my favorites!
I agree!!! And a close third is Versafine Olympia Green which looks awsome with SU Always Artichoke. The depth and clarity of color that one gets with Versafine is first rate!
For line art stamping (to be colored in with Copics or Prismas & OMS) I use Palette Noir Black, and Palette Burnt Umber. Why? Palette inks are a 'hybrid' ink with the fast dry of waterbased ink, but the depth of pigment inks, and they're also waterproof. ;)
I really like the Palette ink because it's fast drying and crisp. I finally got my technique down, but I still don't like my SU! craft ink. I always smudge it, even when I use my heat tool. Blah!
Palette inks will work on metal, plastic, glass, wood, fabric and wood but need to be heat set on those surfaces. IMO, if it works on glass, acetate should work as well.
