Default if you were to purchase a big shot today...

what would you get at the same time?

I am thinking of getting one for myself with income tax refund and wondered what all YOU got when you purchased it?

Make me feel better...how much did you spend on that first purchase?!

I have a birthday coming up and my grandmother may get me some things!!! She doesn't stamp, but wants to get me something I want! Have you gotten a stamping gift from anyone in your family...I don't get much support so I was shocked!

lots and lots and lots - totally LOL! I have the Cuttlebug, but I own all kinds of "other" things to go with it That includes the Big Impressions Starter Kit, a bunch of dies, some of the other texture plates, Sizzix products - you name it they are all must haves in my books Jump on your must-haves quick though because there may be some transition time coming up that some of the items will be unavailable, discontinued, etc. until they all can make their minds up as to which company is owning them and what label they are under. I'll be checking into this more to know how quickly we can know what's up, but somethings up and I'm not certain what will be changing with Ellison/Sizzix.

I would definitely buy the Big Shot again no matter what the price. It is one of my most valued possessions. I bought mine at a rubber stamp convention (before I'd even heard of the Cuttlebug) and am thrilled with my purchase. I love the sturdiness of this product and have used it with the cuttlebug folders (I own 15), texture plates, and die cuts. I would definitely buy the BISK right away if you plan on using texture plates or your brass stencils - you don't need it for the cuttlebug folders. I love the cuttlebug folders - I hope they come out with a lot more designs.

I believe I read on here somewhere that cuttlebug is coming out with some new things. I think it's in March, they where at the show in Ca.

If the Big Shot doesn't have a Multi Purpose Platform included in the package - buy one of those as well. If you want to use one sided texture plates (Fiskars, Sizzix Texturz or Ellison Big Impressions) buy a Big Impressions Starter Kit or a Sizzix Texturz Starter Kit. If you get the BISK or TSK you can emboss with brass stencils too.

Then you're all set - you can use pretty much everything in it - Sizzix dies, Ellison dies, competitor's dies like Cuttlebug and QuicKutz and Cuttlebug embossing folders. Add CB folders to your 'must buy' list too, they are gorgeous!

Have fun!
