Question How to use Clear Stamp/Opaque Ink pads!

Hullo!!

I have a Stampology PEARL Clear Stamp Ink Pad by Autumn Leaves - how in the world do I use it? It comes out clear, so the only thing I can think of is embossing (? or is it not wet long enough? I don't want to waste too much powder by trying - I'd rather know for sure first) or watermarking?? Help! Ahh lol

Another one I have a problem with is StazOn's opaque white ink pad as well - what in the world!? I expected just white ink, but I can't see it. What do I do with THAT one?!!

For the clear pad - these are used for watermarking and embossing.
For stazon white - This pad comes UNinked and you must ink it with the white reinker that is included the first time you use it.
I have to reink mine every time I use it as white ink dryes out very very fast. Personally I do not like my StazOn white and I have since bought Pallette White and I LOVE it. Much more white on the cardstock.

You might want to remove the '***' from your title.

ibkristykat.....As previously stated the clear ink can be used for watermarking or heat embossing or I even use it with Perfect Pearls.

The white Stazon ink is great for stamping on clear vellum. Let it dry and then put that over a dark cardstock and it really does give a super effect. On the vellum it does show pure white.

I don't find white stazon is so great for just stamping on cardstock (not sure it's even meant for that kind of application).

White stazon also good for stamping on cello bags or any shiny/glossy product and yes you have to reink it everytime you use it.

clear/watermark/embossing inks are also great for enhancing chalks, powders, and you can ink your stamp in the clear ink first, then stamp on a dye ink pad, and then stamp your image and add embossing powder and heat set. This allows you to emboss dye inks that normally dry to fast for embossing powders.

I use white stazon but I hate reinking every time. It is such a waste.

thank you to everyone for their replies. I got the clear ink pad on sale for $1.79, figured I'd give it a go.
So far as the "white" StazOn - I see what you mean about stamping on the cardstock. Haven't tried it on a bag or acetate/transparency sheet, but I'm sure you're right it'll come out white & look awesome against a dark paper behind it.
That does sound SO annoying to have to re-ink the StazOn every time. No wonder it COMES with a bottle of ink - lol.
Hm.
Thanks everyone!!

Re-inking the Stazon white pad is no big deal. It only takes a moment or so and just a small amount in the center of the pad spread around. Re-inking each time usage is really not always necessary depending on often you use it.

The results are certainly worth the few extra seconds it takes. Be sure to keep the clear plastic cover (supplied inside case) directly over the ink pad to keep it moist.
