I have all four Impressabilities. They are very fragile to work with. I tried to emboss with them using the A plate, B plate, cardstock, Impressabilitie, tan mats, B plate recipe in my Cuttlebug. The results weren't as well impressed as CB folders. I got the best result using a cheaper (Walmart) white cardstock, there was almost no impression using SU cardstock. I haven't tried inking the die before embossing but I'm thinking this will be the best technique because the designs are beautiful.

I can probably help! (I did the card that appears in the banner ad.)
I've only used them in my Wizard, but I love the results. My secret? I use a little mister with water before running through the Impressability. My other secret? Watercolor paper. I get the most amazing results with the watercolor paper!
The card in the banner ad did not use watercolor paper, but I did use a lightweight cardstock (heavy cardstock does not work as well; the fibers are just too compact) and spritzed it with water. I also inked the metal before sending it through (I used a Palette ink with it, but I think chalk inks might work very well, too.).
I would suggest just playing around a little with it! Sometimes you get the best results when you're just experimenting! I would love to see your results. HTH!

I have one that should arrive today and I'm excited to play with it. I sure hope I can get good results. I'm subbing to I can find all these great tips when I need them!
My favorite way to use them, is the letter press technique. Ink up the entire surface of the Impressabilities (pigment ink) and run it through. Its gorgeous!!
Have fun!!
Where has this thread been hidden? Thank you so much. I bought all four. Tried my first one and PANIC-ed when the frame broke off. LOL! It's supposed to - dummy. <hearty laugh> I have the cuttlebug and am still playing. They are SO pretty!
I love the examples shown here and am very appreciative of the suggestions.
