Default Have you used Dollar Tree Mounting Dots?

I stopped into a Dollar Tree on a whim and found the brand Miss Elizabeth's Mounting Dots--foam dimensionals with adhesive on each side. They come in packages of 360 for $1, obviously. They are rectangle in shape and about 3/8" x 5/8" in size.

I am wondering if anyone has had good luck with these with regards to embellishments staying on the cards over time. I use SU! dimensionals on what seems like every project of mine and for the price, thought I would try them out.

Any reviews from all of you SCSers?

Thanks,
Kelle

I'm sorry to say No I haven't used them. But I this sounds like a good deal.

If they work.

I've found some Tape runners, at the Dollar Tree that I love. I bought about 10 of them the other day.

i would give the dimensionals a try...i did buy several glue runners and each of them failed...i had to take out the strips and use it manually ! at least with the dimensionals you do them one by one anyway.

I bought some at a Dollar Tree (don't know if they are the same brand since I've opened the package and threw the top part away) but they work great. Can't beat the price.

I have them!

So far so good. I've had mine for a little over a month now. Still have projects laying around that I used them on and they seem to be fine! They seem to be a little 'stiffer' than SU!'s dimensionals, but that hasn't caused a problem.

Thank you for letting me know that they are working for you...I will try them out and report back over time...I really like the size of them and they seem really sticky.

Off to play (with my stamping stuff, of course!)

I've used these for over a year, and love them! I usually buy the little circle ones, but don't see why there would be a difference between the different shapes.

The tape runners vary. The super narrow Miss Elizabeth brand work well for ribbon, but don't always stand the test of time with paper (it sticks better than the SU tape runner though). I keep my stash of them for ribbon, and use 2-way glue for paper.

I got a whole pack of foam adhesive squares at a "no'name" dollar store here.

They work great. I just cut them into the shape I need, usually tiny squares, or to use behind a label or tag on my cards.

Yep bought my first pack about 10 months ago and have been using them since. I love the new rectangle shapes. They're perfect for a card that I'm doing for a shoebox swap. At a $1 a pack you can't beat the price!

....about a month behind, LOL, but I love mine. I actually haven't found a "miss elizabeth' product that I haven't been happy with.

the dp is usually really thin, but if I'm putting it ON cardstock, it usually works okay then, so I work with it.

I bought 5 packages each of the small squares and the large rectangles. They are awesome!!! I go through TONS, so it was a major bargain for me.

I've used some dollar store brand foam dots and they work great.

I also have used foam tape from the hardware section and cut it to size. It also works really well. In fact it is almost too sticky!

I wouldn't use these cheaper ones in my scrapbooks bc I'm sure they're not photo friendly but for cards I just want something cheap.

I love these. They do a great job and you can't beat the price. Unfortunately they don't have them at my $ store anymore. Someone on SCS said they were discontinuing them. I hope not, these things are great.

I've been using these for a LONG time, not only do they work great, but as stated by a few other posters, you can't be the price. I just bought 6 pkg's yesterday and I'm tempted to go back for more! One pack is rectangle shaped 360 in pkg, the other pack is small squares 1,518 in pkg. They aren't discontinued, sometimes it takes awhile for things to come back into stock. I've asked managers at a few different stores and have been told that they don't really have control over what they get. Some stores will get them, sell out and get more. Other stores won't get them more than once or twice. So I guess the best thing to do is grab a handful or more when you see them!
