Half backed pearls
Where besides the SU! Pretties Kit can these be found? I try Mikes and Joanns but didn't find any. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places. If you know where they can be found please let me know! TIA =)

Unfortunately I don't know, but I have wanted to ask the same thing about the half pearls & the stick pins!
I hope someone has an answer.

I have purchase sticky 1/2 pearls at Archivers. They don't sell online, but I'm sure you can find them somewhere.

Ellen Hutson has them in her store. Here's a link:

I'm sure there are plenty of other places if you look.

I buy my stick pins at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry making section - with the chains and such. They have silver stick pins - they might have gold as well, but I don't look at them - and they're 2 to a pack for $1.
If you go on weeks when HL has a sale like 50% off all jewelry findings, you can get 2 packs for $1.
Just to let you know, they don't have the loop at the top like the SU ones do, but for $.50 a piece (or $.25 a piece) I can deal.

I found stick pins at Joannes in the bead department. They also have pearl top stick pins in the accessory section of the material dept. I just can't find the end pieces that protect the card recipient from the sharp end of the pin!

I've purchased a pack of 50(half pearls), that also came with flowers, and some glitter at a variety store for $1.00, brand was "Forever in Time"

Would an earring back work - you know, one of the long ones?

I've bought adhesive-backed half-pearls in the paper crafting department at Target; I believe they were made by K & Co.

I've found the adhesive-backed half pearls at Archivers and Hobby Lobby. Archivers had a wide selection of sizes while Hobby Lobby only had one size. They were in with the stickers by the card stock at HL.

I bought 2 sizes at Hobby Lobby. There are 100 in the package of small ones and 64 in the pack of larger ones. They were $2.49 each. The package looks like this http://markrichardsusa.com/catalogues/cat_crystal.html.

I had never thought of the earring backs. That might work perfectly! Thanks for the idea. Oh and cutting off that sharp point will work as well. Thanks!

I lucked out yesterday! I took my DD to a new discount store called Label cuts, similar to Big Lots, I found a pkg of 1/2 pearls meant for decorating cell phones plus pkgs of 300 rhinestones, also meant for cell phones for $4.50. I then noticed the $ store carried rhinestones for phones, so theres another place to look!
