I just bought the Tseuinko (sp) glue pad w/glue and wondered how SCS liked it.
Only now do I have time to play with and am getting frustrated; is there a trick to getting the glitter to stick better; do I need to really gob this expensive stuff on the pad? HELP!
I finally used mine a couple of weeks ago...wasn't that impressed with it....its ok...if I would have tried it first I probably wouldn't have bought it. And yes....I did put quite a bit of glue on the pad.
I was disappointed in it, but I read that you are to press down on whatever you are trying to glue. I did not do that. I haven't had a chance to try again. Eileen

I preferred the Palette glue pad vs the glue pad you're talking about. I used the Tsuk. one at a make and take and it didn't work good at all - didn't really stick the items.

thanks to the op for asking and to you gals for answering!!! i was actually going to make a run to the store JUST to get a glue pad so i could finish a swap... good thing i checked the board before i left the house... ended up getting the "heat & bond" or whatever its called powder. thanks again!
I have only managed to get pearl ex powder to stick with this particular glue pad. never glitter...
the other glue pad (the one you heat set) is even more of a garbage product... (its temperamental at best)
the only thing i have found that actually works with staying on later is to stamp with versamark and use a heat it glue powder and dump the what ever when the melted powder is still hot.
Yeah, I am not into mine, either, but I haven't given it much of a chance. I tried it with chalk, and I smeared it thinking it was dry when I touched it. Oh well. I will hold back from making any final comments until I can experiment. I know some people were saying (when it first came out) here on SCS that it did great with glitter, so I'm not sure. I haven't tried any with mine. But I have heard teh Palette one is total garbage.
^^ chalk works really well with the versamark... i did a whole bunch of favor boxes with a little fern leaf stamped randomly over it with the versamark, then just took a big 'ol cotton ball and chalked everywhere. the chalk stuck really really well.

I've had pretty good luck with it. The trick is to use it on glossy cardstock or matte coated cardstock. If you use it on regular cardstock it will absorb into the paper and not be quite as effective.
I must be in the minority here, LOL. I love mine. The main thing I use it for is glitter. It works great with swirly stamps (think French Flair or something along those lines). I stamp the image with glue and sprinkle on glitter. It takes about an hour to dry. But the glitter holds pretty well. I like the glue pens and other things as well, but the glue pad works well to stamp and glitter an image. Mine hasn't dried out yet and I've had it for about three months. It is like the stazon pads, you are supposed to keep the plastic cover on it under the lid. So if some of you have purchased this, don't be discouraged you might like it as much as I do!
