Default Glimmer Mist vs. Glitz Spritz/Moon Shadow Mist

If anyone has used both the Glimmer Mist and the Glitz Spritz and/or Moon Shadow Mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang, can you tell me what the differences or similarities are in them? I manage a stamping store, and recently put the Lindy's stuff on clearance to get rid of it. Now I'm hearing so many good things about the Glimmer Mist, so I'd like to get some of it in stock but don't want to hear "isn't that just like what you just got rid of?" from my store owner, KWIM???

Thanks in advance!

I wish I could help you, but I have never seen nor used Moon Shadow Mists. I do have several colors of Glimmer Mist, however. It's basically a shimmery liquid that you spray on whatever surface you want. Some are rather clear - such as Pearl or Snowflake - you just get a wonderful shimmer that your paper or stamped images can shine thru. Others are colored, so if you sprayed Frosty Nights, for example, you would get shimmery blue flecks (if you spray a little) or shimmery blue paper (if you spray a lot).

I don't know if the other stuff comes in colors, or they are sheer colors, or what. I hope this helps you a little bit.

Ooh, it really helps to know about the clear vs. color differences! Maybe I might find it best to start out with some of the clear ones first.

The thing I did not care for with the other brand was that you had to mix it yourself. I assume Glimmer Mist is already in liquid form in the bottle, right?

Yes, Glimmer Mist is already in liquid form and all you have to do is shake it up, baby! LOL Just shake it up before you spray, cuz all the shimmery powder stuff settles to the bottom of the bottles.

Here's a couple of pics of cards that I created with them:

Clear mist - Snowflake -

Colored mist - Frosty Nights -

I sprayed the Frosty Nights very very lightly to get that speckled, mottled look on the pale blue scallopy card. If I would have done a heavy spray, the entire card would have had that darker blue color to it.

Well, my cart is fuller than my budget will allow right now! They're running a special if you order at least 18 but it runs throughout the month, so I may wait a few weeks and order them later. I have Lavender Fields, Perfect Peach, Glacier, Meadow Green, Denim Blue and Bubblegum. I thought that was a good variety for now. A lot of the clear ones are out of stock, so that's why I went with Glacier. I'm really torn... I want to order them now but it might be best to wait.

Ooooh pretty pretty pretty. Yeah, I would love to have ALL of the glimmer mist colors, but that durned budget keeps popping into all the fun. Hmph.

Glacier is perfect for a first time user, too. You might buy an extra one to use as a sample to show the customers how to use it and what it looks like. They can make their own shimmery paper when they spray that on. (Oh, but make sure to use permanent inks when stamping. Dye inks will run when you spray over them.)

I have been playing with mine, and it's so much fun! My hands are all yellow and orange, but who cares?? LOL

I bought mine from Jackson Belle Embellishments - she's one of the member companies here on SCS. Here's a link:

She did a great job, and had fast shipping! I believe I ordered on a Thursday, and I had my order in my hands on the following Tuesday. Loved her service.

You might be able to find some at your LSS, or even some other online stores. Good luck!

My LSS got some of the Christmas colors in before Christmas and she sold quite a bit. Then she got several different colors in. She did sell quite a bit of those as well. I love using the GM as I love the shimmery colored look on my cards. I went through 2 bottles of Gold already in just a couple of months!!!
