Frustration with SU Baskets and Blooms die

Help me ladies--I'm frustrated trying to cut out baskets with this die and I must be doing something wrong!! The platform that I'm using doesn't seem to be long enough to use with this die--was I supposed to buy a longer plastic piece to use with it??

Yes, you need to purchase the Extended Cutting pads (113478 ) if you are trying to use any of the Sizzix (SU!) Bigz XL Dies. You are not crazy - - take a deep breath. I truly empathize with your frustration.

THANK YOU, Shelley!!!! I've never had such a huge and very irritating problem with an SU product as I have this one...now, i know what to do!!!

Since I have the Big Kick, does anyone know if they carry the extended cutting pad?

Lyndie....Technically, the same extended cutting pads used for the BIGkick are the same for the BigShot. They are both a Sizzix product.

Would be much cheaper to purchase from a store....AC Moore, Michaels, etc. Can use coupons for them They come 2 to a package.

I did not find them in my stores so when I orderd my die I orderd the cutting plates too
Wish I could of found them in the store so I could of used the coupons

You might try Joann's on-line... They are on sale there alot...

Also, on the Sizzix site, they have sales on different items all the time... on Tuesdays' there is always something on sale...

Went to Michaels--the only long platform they carry is for the long alphabet--so I've got to order one from SU.....and wait 2 weeks to get it.:(

I've seen them in my AC Moore before. Not sure if yours carries it or not.
