Hi Ladies....thanks to you both for getting back to me.....it's much appreciated. Yes, Candida.....that is exactly what I was looking for. I saw NexusFont in my search, but was wondering what other people were using. Lydia, it's particularly the groups I want. There are so many fonts that come installed with Window 8 and I have to go through them all whenever I'm looking for one of my downloaded fonts.
Thanks so much for the info.
I'm off to download it.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
Did you know you don't need to install a font to use it? Installing all those fonts will slow down your computer - particularly noticable when you start the computer because it has to load all those fonts into memory. It can also cause your programs to run sluggish because they don't have the available memory that the fonts are taking up. Using a font manager is also good to temporarily load a font. It puts into memory as you need it and then you can unload it so its not taking up memory when its not in use. Its a bit more work, but if you're anything like me (a font freak and hoarder with about 20,000 fonts) its worth it. I think my computer would take about 2 hours to start up if it had to load all those fonts.
If you don't want to install yet another program (again memory issues), you can just usually open the font file (the file with the .tff, .otf, etc. extension) by double clicking it. This loads it into memory and you can then use it in your program. You have to do this before you open the program you want to use and it won't be available after you close the font file, but if you are just using the font to quickly create a sentiment or something to that effect, and don't need it on an ongoing basis, this works great.
Of course, if its a font you use all the time, its probably more efficient to just install the font.
Two other good and safe programs are Font Fitting Room and Printers Apprentice. FFR is a trial version, but has all the features, but the licence is pennies anyway.
