I saw on Lisa Strahl's blog that she filled the empty copic markers with alcohol inks ... do you think this will work with SU reinkers if I want to make my own In-Color markers?
I can't imagine why it wouldn't work, as long as the empty copic really starts out dry and doesn't have any alcohol-based fluid in it to start with. I think it's a great idea, and may have to try it myself. ENABLER!
ETA: Ellen Hutson said that the empty copic really is dry in this post on her blog. I think you should go for it!
I decided not to try it with the empty Copic markers ... was afraid to ruin it and waste my money and reinker ... I saw some Fantastix at Joann's (these were marked as coloring tools for dry and wet mediums) ... and there were instructions in the packaging how to make a custom marker ... so I took of the top of the reinker bottle so I can soak the tip of the Fantastix for a few seconds ... and it worked ... it's been 2 weeks now and my Cranberry Crisp marker is still working
yikes.. I got to find me some of these so I can make a Groovy Guava and Wild Wasabi marker.. oh.. where oh where can you buy empty markers! someone mentioned Ellen posting on her blog about them.. I'll have to check it out.. thanks for the info. Pam
