EK Success Decorative Stapler
Who has one and what do you think of it? I was eyeing one at Michaels since I have the 50% off coupon.

If you're talking about the Fastenator, in my personal opinion, it's not necessary. If you like the decorative staples, you don't need the stapler to set them.
All you need to do is flip over an older style mouspad, put whatever paper you want to put the staper through on top of the mouse pad, and press the staple through. Then, flip the paper over and press the legs of the staple down.
If the paper is thicker (like a heavy cardstock), you might need to first press down the staple to mark the leg placement. Then, lift up the staple use an exacto to make small tiny incisions, and then put the staple through and continue as above.

Ditto! it really bothered me that it wasn't long so that you can't put it where you want if it is more then a few inches on the page

I love my Fastenater and use it all the time. I've used it to staple books together, to hold transparencies and ribbon, and to decorate pages and cards. I even used it on Valentine's day to secure the toppers for classroom treat bags. It's great!

There are actually two sizes of the Fastenater. I bought the small one because I don't scrap, but the long one would staple anywhere on a page.

I did not have much luck getting my staples into the pages with piercing the page and pushing threw the staple. I have the fastenator and would rather use it.

I'm another one who just pushes the staple through the paper...I don't see the value in the fastenator at all....

OOOooohhh, thanks for the tip about just using the staples without the stapler. I love the staples!
I just might have to look at these again!

I tried pushing the staples in without the Fastenater, but I wound up ruining so many of them (not to mention my pages) that I decided to just buy the stapler. I think I used a coupon.

Thanks to all for your help
I bought the Fastenator myself on sale and some of the staples but they don't go through double card stock. Now, with the help of an Xacto knife, I can use the Fastenator to help finish the job.
It sat there doing nothing for 3 months but I will try some of the tricks. It is a rather large one with a good reach.
Again, thanks for your help.

I'm contemplating selling mine. I find the staples don't go where you want them.
