Default Dry Adhesive?

Silly question. What does "dry adhesive" mean to you? I'm going to a scrapbook expo, and a mini-album workshop requires that you bring "dry adhesive."

Double-sided tape is further down the list as optional. So dry adhesive isn't double-sided tape.

I was thinking of my go-to adhesive, which is the pink Towbow adhesive runner.

Other workshops list adhesive runner, so I thought dry adhesive might be something else. That said, workshops are given by different companies, so they may use different terms for the same thing.

(This 1-hour workshop requires so many bulky tools I almost wish I had chosen something else. The others require smaller or very few items. Grumble grumble.lol )

Me? I would think a tape runner. Here's my logic. If it's not dry, it's wet, and that means such things as mono multi or others. So. Dry would be double sided tape.

Since they listed double-sided tape further down the list as optional, I ruled it out. But maybe someone didn't edit the list very well.

The Tombow adhesive runner that I use lays down tiny dots of adhesive that are dry, so for now that will do the trick, unless something else pops up. But I'll pop in some double-sided tape and little adhesive tear-off bits.

Thanks! (I said it was silly.)

I'd agree, dry to me means DST, tape runners, glue dots- basically any glue you don't have to wait for it to dry. Could just be someones brain was going to sleep, and didn't realise they'd already put dry adhesive?

I wondered about that. I too often assume there's some grand logic in written words, and it turns out there was just a mistake.

I understand dry adhesive to be anything that isn't a wet glue. That would include double-sided tape, because, after all, that's essentially what a tape runner is. I think they were just being a little redundant with their list, and it was probably a mistake.

I used my Tombow adhesive runner (which lays down dots), plus glue sticks, and all was fine. Redundancy, most likely; my double sided tape stayed in my tote and napped. : )
