Does anyone own the Karen Foster Clikit?

I bought one tonight for half price because I was practically given every stamp/embosser set that is made for this thing.
After practicing for over an hour, I can't get this thing to even emboss those darling little images on paper, much less tin foil. I've sanded it to bring the detail to the top then hit it with a little colored chalk, and even tried ink, but all I ended up with was smooshed paper, cardstock and even vellum. It does however set eyelets great and punch various holes but dang it I wanted to emboss with it too. Ok tell me what I am doing wrong. Yes I tried pushing down 3,4,5 times. Then the paper tore of course. Help me from taking this cute little tool to the dump!

Wow......I have the same experience as you.......scary.......

I got a great deal and cannot get any good embossing results on paper or metal. I thought it was just me but maybe not after reading your post......would like to hear if anyone has had success and how in the heck they did it !!

I had this for a week, and returned it. I could not get good results with it no matter what I tried. Sorry.

Thanks for answering me girls. I think if I BTT we might hear a little more about it. What I don't get is how the infomercials whether they are on HSN or QVC seem to make these tools look soooooooooo easy and effortless and have such gorgeous results to boot. There has got to be a secret to these dilemmas.

Hey you all, I got to looking through my stuff after the KF site said to use the "embosser board" that is suppose to come with the alphabet and detail kids. Luckily I have the alphabet because that is the only one that the EB came with-it's hidden underneath and slides out from the bottom. However one did not come with the little detail kits. I used this EB and Wah-La it worked!--Not perfect, but there is definetly an image there and pops right out when I used chalk, or an ink pad on it. Mystery solved.
