Default Do you own more than one manual die cutting machine?

Just wondering if many people own more than one manual die cutting machine, and if so why? I know there are lots of people who own a manual as well as an electronic because they really do different things, but wasn't sure what the advantage to owning two manual die cutters is.

I have a cuttlebug and a big kick.
Why two?
Because I wanted a pink big kick

I have the quickutz revolution, the big red sizzix, the blue quickutz, the black quickutz, coluzzle, and the cricut.

Why? It's a sickness. Well, partly. There was a time I wanted everything that was new. I'm more responsible now.

I want the Big Shot. I love all of my machines for one reason or another. I'm thinking about getting rid of the revolution, but it matches my scrapping furniture. If I get the Big Shot, I will probably get rid of the quickutzs.

I have the Cuttlebug and Revolution and just ordered the Big Shot.

Why...because I had the Cuttlebug first, and I bought the Revolution because it was only $40 and I could use my nesties and cookie cutter dies without having to use the whole sandwhich thing, I love the magnetic platform and only throwing one plate on top. So why am I getting the Big Shot? Because the CB is narrower, tippy, and ugly lime green, and the Big Shot is wide, not tippy, black and on sale for $62.

I will keep the CB...just because it's only worth about $30 and my daughters can use it instead of their tiny little Cuttlekids.

I have a Cuttlebug and Wizard. I use them both--the CB mostly with embossing folders, and the Wizard for cutting with my Nesties.

I have a wizard, sizzix, and revolution. I originally bought the sizzix. I graduated to the wizard because it will cut everyone's dies. I love the wizard, but for little dies it's a pain to create and then feed the entire sandwich through, especially if you need to cut several of the same die.

When the price of the revolution dropped to $40 I jumped on it. It's mainly for my nesties. I like the ease of just dropping the die on the magnetic surface, then placing the plastic sheet on top. It's so much quicker than my wizard for when I just want to cut the die.

I just received my revolution last weekend. The sizzix will be going, but I'm going to keep the wizard. It's still the best all-around machine and it does a great job embossing.

I have an old lever Sizzix, and a Big Kick. Only reason I still have the lever one is that nobody wanted it on Craigslist when I tried to get rid of it.

I did use it the other night when cutting out letters for DD's presidential poster project. It did seem to go quicker than cranking each letter thru the Big Kick.

I have the old red sizzix, the blue big kick, the red sidekick, the pink sidekick, quickutz hand tool in black, and the revolution. Why so many? I got everyone of them at an unbelieveable price. They were all incredibley cheap, making it hard to leave them sitting on the shelf.
I use each and every one of them, but I probably use the revolution the most because I can take my nesties and just sit them on the plate and roll them through and I don't have to worry about them moving or sliding around.
I also have a cricut original and a silhouette. I have more "toys" than my daughter.

I only have the Big Shot - and I'm very happy with it because I can cut and emboss with any manufacturer die/embossing products. I'm making use of it right to its full potential so I get every penny I spent for it back

I have a commercial die cut machine Accu Cut...and got a Sizzix years ago...mainly to cut alphabets, I love the shadow box letter, bought a Wizard, but dont have the strength for those, so I sold it and bought a Big Shot, I use all my personal dies, embossing folders in the Big Shot, but the Sizzix can emboss on chipboard and do other things, that I dont want to run thru my Big Shot...I cut lots of dies with my commercial machine, then emboss them or use smaller dies to cut openings to make frames, etc...I love my manual machines, dont own an electronic one and not sure if I ever will...

Guilty.

Old Red Sizzix.

Cuttle bug

Cricut Expression.

Why? Because I believe she who dies (get it?) with the most toys wins.

I have the old lever Sizzix, a Sidekick, a Cuttlebug, a Cricut and planning on getting the Big Shot. I love my Cuttlebug and will be getting the Big Shot because I want to be able to use the larger dies WITHOUT having to run them through twice. Too much hassle. The Sizzix was my first. The jury is still out on my Cricut. I've only used it maybe two or three times. Maybe I'll dig it out next week and play.

It's sooo nice to belong!!!! I had the original Sixxiz first - still use it too! Then came the Big Shot - need the roller for most sizzlits and the Bigz and now the Nesties!! Last Black Friday I stood in line for the Cricut for $99 and even tho I don't use it a lot, I LOVE it too! It does sooo many different things and to adjust the size is just TOO COOL - I scrap 8 1/2 x 11 so it works great for me. (Stacey Jullian is the BOMB) They all have a place and I really thought on each purchase - will keep them FOREVER!

I'm so glad it's not just me.

I have the red sizzix, a Big Shot, a quickkutz squeeze, little Cricut, an Expression and a Silhouette. I use the Silhouette and the Big Shot the most.

I have the sidekick, which I bought first and loved it. Then I decided I wanted a Sizzix Press and bought it (the BigKick wasn't out yet). Then when the BigKick came out I bought it also. I use the BigKick the most but do use my press now and then with the smaller CB EF folders. I use the sidekick with my little sizzlits, and I got all of the machines for at least 40% off. Eventually when it isn't so expensive I want to buy a Pazzles or something similar.

I only have one manual one, the old red sizzix machin, and if/when I get the SU Big Shot, I will sell my other one. I don't know why I would need two.

Ok I got the Cuttlebug, then the small Cricut, then the Expression, and now the Big Shot. And I never get rid of anything. Not tools, nor stamps, nor retired papers....

And some day I will use it all, no really I'm serious I will, just wait and see.

I've owned the big kick but returned it. I recently sold my cuttlebug for the black & black SU exclusive big shot. I love my cricut expression and I'm sure I will love the big shot as well. If I had more space and $$, I would choose to keep EVERYTHING.

Yes...I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I own several.

I started out with the original Sizzix (way back when!). Later, I got a Quikutz (this was way before converters...) because I loved their dies. Then I stumbled upon the Zip 'e Mate and had to have it because it was so easy to use and could cut multiple die types. I got a Sidekick because it was easily portable. Then I got the Cuttlebug because it would allow me to use the embossing folders only partially.

All had their purposes and I still use most of them....my kids use the old Sizzix.

I have the
Big shot, would never get rid of it, love it.
Side Kick, portable
Original Sizzix, my Mom has this one and it's just a work horse and will cut through some heavy stuff!!! With that said if I had bought the Big Shot first I may not of bought the original Sizzix---it is VERY heavy.

Cricut (sold) cuttlebug (use) Wizard (use).

I could never get the sandwhich adjustments right for the die machines, adding shims and what not. So I use the cuttlebug with cuttlebug dies and folders and the wizard with my spellbinders dies. Makes my life easier.

so good i am not alone in this addiction

red sizzix (i love it, use it the most....with CB embossing folders AND nesties), love that adaptor

had a "spare" red sizzix but sold it, now i could kick my self, what if mine breaks??

have a big shot for those big dies....but havent used it that much yet, mainly cause we are in the process of building a house and are now in a rental and i didnt unpack everything ! that killed me but i had to be realistic (DH idea)

CB ... sometimes used for emb folders but mostly for the CB dies, i get tired of replacing those B plates....that's why i mainly use my red girl

I started out with the big red Sizzix years ago and then updated it with the Quickutz because it was easier to pull off the shelf and they have a lot more dies to choose from. Last year I got the Cuttlebug because it's more convenient. I still use all of them.

guilty! I have a cuttlebug, a Wizard (wanted it because I hated messing with different sandwiches, especially for Nestabilities!) that I found for $10, a Cricut original and then a Cricut Expression because I wanted bigger, and last but not least, a Wishblade. The Wishblade is so pretty, lol, but that's ALL I know about it...so far it's been plugged in and that's it. (Anybody want a brand new Wishblade? I'll make you a deal, lol!)

It IS a sickness, I'm convinced of it. Even more so now that I'm considering SU's Big Shot....if I had room to leave everything out and set up, I know I'd probably use them all (ok, maybe not the wishblade...that one intimidates me!).

I started out with a Zipemate and a small Sizzix sidekick. I recently, and reluctantly bought a Cuttlebug, but only because the Zipemate has been discontinued and I can no longer purchase the cutting plates for it. I do love the Cuttlebug.. it's a lot wider than my Zipemate, so I can use the big Sizzix dies. I still use the sidekick for the smaller alpha dies because it's just super easy.

I am getting a Cricut Expression for Christmas, and I can't wait for that one. I "may" buy the Big Shot in Feb. when it's my turn in our Hostess Club, but I'm not sure I will, since I have the Cuttlebug.

When I first became interested in papercrafting I was 99% a collector. I would think "that's cool/neat/different..." and I'd eventually buy it. So my die cutter collection started the same way. As a result I had the Sidekick, the red Sizzix, the Big Kick, the Quickutz handle and the Ellison XL without actually using anything. Once I started making projects (slowly) I researched more and decided on the Wizard and the Klic-n-Kut as well.

Sadly, the craftsetc.com sale on the Revolution and my new found love of Nestibilities may be a problem...

Interesting thread- I read it even though I only have a Cuttlebug. I do "own" a sidekick but it is at school for my craft club kids to use, so it really doesn't count as I didn't buy it for me.

I also have a Silhouette and love that as well.

For the poster above, you should check out the EASYWISHBADERS and SCRAP-SAVVY groups at yahoo. I learned SOOOOO much about using my Silhouette there- they are wonderful folks and really helpful. You would no longer be intimidated but using that thing like crazy. HTH
