Between a Big Shot and a Big Kick? The sizzix website has a Big Kick, but then as I search EBay and other places I come up with a Big Shot which looks almost the same but different colored. Are they the same or just different manufacturers? Help!
I think they are basically the same. Ellison is the maker of both, just different colors is my understanding after researching scs. HTH! I have a Big Shot and LOVE IT, but I don't think you could go wrong with either..
What's the difference between the Bigshot & the BigKick?
I thought the BigKick might be larger than the BigShot (which is what I have).
When I bought an alphabet from Sizzix.com, I checked the size of the cutting pads and they are exactly the same size for the BigKick as the BigShot, so I ordered some. (haven't gotten them yet, but the measurementts on the website were the same as my measurements of my BigShot cutting pads)
I wont buy a BigKick die before I know itll fit into my BigShot.
But Im eyeing the Bigz, The big letter dies.
Anyone?

There have been several threads on this already so check back a few pages. But the short of it, as I understand it, is they are almost the same machine made by the same company. (Sizzix is owned by Ellison). I think the legs are different and the color but other than that, the same.
When I was at the CHA show I asked the Ellison people what the difference was and I was told that than have the exact same guts just different shells. Also that the bigshot (or was it the bigkick) oh well it was one of them, anyway one of them will not be sold in big stores like Wallmart, Cosco, etc... just local craft stores. They will take each others dies. But only the bigshot or bigkick will handle the large Alpha dies.
I called Ellison the beginning of the week, and the customer service people informed me that they are identical machines inside, made by the same company. The only differences are outside, cosmetic differences (color, shape, etc.).
Hi Bretta, I recently bought a Big Kick and it came with a Bigz die. I have also got some Ellison Thick Cuts dies and the Sizzix Bigz dies are exactly the same size as the Ellison Thick Cuts dies. You can happily use Bigz dies in your Big Shot!
again, I am sorry that my wording was confusing. It is so funny how when you write something it makes perfect sense to you and no sense to the person reading it.
Vicki,
I love SCS, but sometimes posting info onto a web site can be misunderstood because people aren't face to face.
It happens
We got it figured out & no bad feelings.
BTW, I checked out your gallery and you've got some nice cards, I REALLY like your SC94 Palmtree!
