Diamond Glaze: Question on how to get the product out of the fine point applicator.
Hi, I just got some Diamond Glaze. I'm confused as to how to get it started though. There are no directions on the bottle, as to how to do this. YouTube videos are no help. I did nip, the tip top, of the fine point applicator, but nothing.
Does anyone have any experience with how to get the product flowing? Thanks for any help! ;-)
Silly question perhaps, but if you unscrew the fine point applicator, is there a seal across the top of the bottle? I'm wondering, because I've been caught out by sauce bottles with hidden seals before now. They don't flow either
Good point from stampnatter, and I've had that happen too. My question would be are you sure you've snipped the tip down far enough? I've had glue bottles that had quite a distance of the nozzle solid plastic, and just snipping off the tip didn't get me past the blockage. Try holding it up to a window to see.
Stampnnatter, not a silly question at all! LOL I've had that happen before. I'd be trying to get a product to come out and finally unscrew the top and there is a lovely seal, just sitting there, nice and tight, waiting for me to peel it off! :-) But I did unscrew the top to check for a seal, before I even tried squeezing. There is no seal.
Shazsilverwolf, since I barely nipped the top off - didn't want to take too much off, maybe that is the issue. I will take a bit more off. That may do the trick.
Thank you both for your wonderful suggestions! This group has always been so helpful and everyone, so nice! :-)
Sometimes depending on the plastic it was made from you can hold the bottle/nozzle up to the light and see where to cut. There should be a difference in appearance of solid plastic and where the flow channel is.
