I'd get a CB using a box store coupon and then get some folders/dies. You'll probably eventually want some Nestabilities but you can get those later. Good hubby!!
I have never found the Swiss Dots folders at our Michaels. No other craft stores in our area....don't want to order on line because then you have to pay the postage. Have had my CB about 2-3 years and barely use it..keep saying IF I can find the Swiss Dots I'll use it more. Probably won't happen. I did buy tons of folders when Big Lots had them on sale last year. I use my Cricut Expression the most, followed by my Slice machine. All adds up to fun..and with coupons and sales, you can add to your toys over time. Just enjoy each item as you get them....Have fun !
If you haven't already bought the Cuttlebug, I would buy the Sizzix Big Kick or Big Shot. You can get one using a coupon or on sale (often) for between $50 and $60. That leaves you $40-50 for dies or embossing folders! Start with some smaller general patterns for embossing folders. The cuttlebug is on sale for $53 - an extra $7 buys you the Big Shot which is sturdier and easier to use with the bigger dies. It is well worth the extra $7.
It comes with everything you need to get started for cutting and for using embossing folders! If you buy a die with a score line on it (like a box) or want to emboss with Spellbinders Nesties, you will need a crease pad.
AP105 is coupon code for free shipping on anything over $50 at Joann
