Default Cuttlebug Plates

This is probably mentioned somewhere else, but without having to search I wanted to ask this. I am in need of the Cuttlebug B plates. I cannot find them locally. Is there something new out there? am I missing something? I will seach online but I am wondering if it is going to be impossible to get these plates in the near future? Thanks

The 'B' plates are the most used plates for the CB. Surprised you are having trouble finding them locally. The 'C' plates used to be hard to find until they were no longer included when you bought a CB.

Good luck on your search. You should be able to find them online.

Here they are on Amazon:

It you google Cuttlebug b plates, you will find lots of options to buy them online, including Joanns and Walmart.

I haven't looked for them lately in the stores, but Hobby Lobby used to carry them, also.

I have noticed around here that Michaels and Hobby Lobby both seem to not be carrying any of the Cuttlebug stuff - no machines, plates, or folders. Joann's still carries them, though.

The cutting plates for the Big Shot/Big Kick are the same thickness, but I'm not sure they'll fit thru a Cuttlebug widthwise.

Thanks for the replies. I saw some online and will order them. Since they seem so hard to find, is there something new out there that is used instead of CB plates? It sounds as though the CB itself may be fading out??

It seems like I have recently seen them at Joann's (in the store), too.

FYI, I was in Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago and they were clearancing out all Cuttlebug plates. They had them in their clearance area along the wall near the paper craft area.

Hi and thanks for your help. I did find some on Amazon and ordered them. Just wondering what's replacing them in the stores.

Hopefully nothing because I LOVE my CB! After owning it for ten years, it still works perfectly and I have never had a problem with it.

I'm an original Cuttlebug owner, too, cnsteele. I think the original Cuttlebug was first released in 2006 (I still have the one I bought - and it still works well, lol.)

Since it has been almost 10 years, and many different die cutting machines/systems have been released since then, there probably is just not enough demand for the plates for the stores to keep them in inventory.

I think the Cuttlebug is a very sturdy machine, and unfortunately, it may well outlast the supply of its parts. Makes me think I should probably get a spare set of plates while I can, and keep them in reserve.

I remember having a vacuum cleaner that still worked beautifully, but I had to replace it because they no longer sold the bags to fit it! I hope this doesn't happen with the Cuttlebug, but it could!
