Default Cuttlebug? Do I need one??

I see al the great idea you ladies post using them so I am thinking of asking for one for my b-day in 23 days. HOw much do they run? and does M's and JA's let you use coupons on them? I have a crafts and stuff here in Brunswick...I wonder if they have them? I see them on the Bay for 59.99 is this a good deal? I have honestly never looked at them at M's or JA's so I am not sure what the reg. price on them is. Thanks in advance.

Default They're on sale!

The Cuttlebug and accessories are on sale this week at JoAnn's! The Cuttlebug is $49.99 and the accessories are 40% off. With that great deal, I had to snag one for myself. Beware, though, that you may have to have them special order it (with a raincheck for the price) as they have been flying off the shelves...

I love my cuttlebug, mostly for the embossing but the dies are useful too. I've found that it allows me to craft beautiful cards fairly quickly and I'm so glad I bought it. :-D I used a 50% off coupon at Michael's to buy the machine and have used 40% and 50% off coupons to purchase many of the embossing folders and several dies. You can use original Joann's and Hobby Lobby coupons at Michael's too (not printed from a computer).

Default NOw...Cuttlebug or sizzix sidekick

I was doing a little research and I see the sizzlix sidekick...well can you use the cuttlebug dies in the sidekick? The dies that they have in the picture with the sidekick look small like the CB dies. Just wondering what would be the most ecnomical for my 1st die cut machine.

I'm fairly new to this site and have limited supplies so far. The Cuttlebug is my only die cutting machine so I can't compare or give information about any of the others. There is a whole Cuttlebug thread which gives lots of facts and advice about using your Cuttlebug though. :-D

Sizzix has several different machines with similar names. The Sidekick is a small machine that will accept the Cuttlebug dies (or so I understand), but NOT the embossing folders. The Big Kick is a newer machine that will do everything the Cuttlebug does except fold up for storage.

There's a thread here in the Tool & Product Talk forum called "Cuttlebug vs. Big Kick vs. Big Shot". Let me find it and bump it back up for you, because IMO it's a wonderful resource thread that should answer a lot of your questions.
