Which cuttlebug dies?
Ok, if you wanted to buy a couple of dies that would cover many occasions, which would you get.
And when they say 2 x2 or 3 x 3 what exactly do they mean?
Any help much appreciated!

The 2x2 dies are a set of 4 dies, each measures 2x2. The 3x3 is just one die; all the images shown fit in the 3x3 space.
I've only used my alphabet dies so far because I've been too busy playing with the embossing folders. Those are great and they have one for birthday, thanks, baby, congrats.
Hope that helps!

I have the Olivia alphabet, Asterisks, Ribbon Slides, small Tags, and Large Tags dies. I don't scrapbook, so I got the ones that I thought would be best for card-making.
The sizes mentioned are the sizes of the dies themselves in inches.

I use the slider dies A LOT!! I also love the scalloped flowers. Both are 2x2, sets of 4 dies.

I got the thanks and happy birthday folders first. Then I got a tag die and some little animal dies for my grandkids. Which are the slider dies? I might have them and don't know what they're called. I have a set of dies that are round or square and have ribbon slots through them.

I think I like the asterisks and sliders the best. I made an awesome flower layering the different sizes of asterisks in different colors.

I received the astericks dies first for Christmas. They reminded me of the now retired set Shapes & Shadows. I haven't made anything yet with this die but I have some ideas in my noggin to use the two together.

Me too! I have these and the Olivia Alpha and I have used them a lot. The only other ones that I was thinking of getting today but there is no Michael's coupon, is the ones that are frames maybe square and circle, I think I would use them quite a bit in card making.
HTH!

I use my quickutz dies which i love more than the cuttlebug ones and they are 2 x 2 - http://www.crazyscraps.com normally have them on sale they also carry the cuttlebug ones. I am not to keen on the cuttlebug ones except the folders and the alphabets which i love both of those...

Hippie Chick is pretty funky. I like the symbols /shapes that are included as well. They are very 70's retro.

The sliders and the frames that can looked scallopped. You can use the inner pieces for so many things too and they make great windows!

I have asterisks, sliders and 5 alphas (Olivia, You're not the Boss, Red Tag, typewriter and baqby face) for CB dies.
I also have lots of sizzix and sizzlets dies and several CB embossing folders and simple impressions (Sizzix embossing folders)

If I had to limit myself (and I discovered that I just didn't want to!), I would buy:
*either the Olivia or Red Tag Sale alpha. Olivia has that wonderful "thanks" and the vase, stem and flower on the end of the alpha, but is pretty girly. Red Tag has a more versatile style, and cool tags on the end.
*all the embossing folders you could possibly find, especially the "texture" ones. I avoided those at first, but now they're my favorites!
*Tiny Tags, Charms or Sliders. These are a great addition to any project, and are very versatile.
*Flower dies of some sort. You could pick up Sizzix or whatever. I have the Asterisks (which I actually have not used yet! shame on me!), Flower 1 (which is scalloped circles, basically, and I use it a lot), Sizzix Paper Sculpting Daisy, and some on a beehive sizzlets set. But who can have enough flowers?
I think if you have the A2 embossing folders and a tags die, you'll be very happy. An alphabet is a bonus.

So Wendalyn, you've had good luck using the Quikut dies in the Cuttlebug? I love their dies and my LSS carries alot of them and I'd like to get some for my bug

I just got three embossing folders - birthday, thanks and the swirls - and love them all. I also have the sliders, asterisks, and stamps dies. I have had fun playing with all of them also. I think the stamps will be great for cards or scrapbook pages, using 2 different colors (one for the outline and a one for the middle) and stamp a small message or date in the middle.

I just got the circle frame and concentric ovals today. I think I am going to really like them. I have the asteriks and sliders too. I thought I would love the scalloped squares but they are too small for me. I have many embossing folders; I love them even though I am having a hard time figuring out how to coordinate them all. Good luck!

For dies, I would say tiny tags and/or sliders. Anyone else out there wishing they would make some bigger dies? Scalloped Ovals, Circles, etc. Or am I the only one?

Yes!!! I am very happy with my circle frame and concentric ovals because they are bigger. I was so excited to get all of this stuff, but I agree everything is so tiny. I did just order a square frame too. How happy would so many of us be if they made a scalloped oval the size of the giga punch?!
