Question Cuttlebug or Cricut Cartridge

Calling All,

Help me decide, should I get the Cuttlebug or continue to add to my Cricut cartridge collection? I love my cricut, but don't use it much yet (due to my schedule) as I will use it more to scrapebook which is a summer project for me.
I love the embossing capabiliites and just love the samples in the gallery.

I am torn, help!

I have both the Cuttlebug and the Cricut. Both are very different, imho. I use the Cuttlebug mostly for embossing, and the Cricut for lettering and die cuts. My opinion is ~ if you think you will use the Cuttlebug now and the Cricut only in the summer, get the Cuttlebug and then add to your Cricut cartridges once you start using it and get a sense of what cartridges you want most.

Default cuttlebug

I have a cricut and cuttlebug both. I love my cuttlebug best.......I love embossing....but with cuttlebug you can die cut and emboss both. If I had to make a choice whether to keep my cricut or cuttlebug I would pick my cuttlebug hands down .... Hope this helps.

I dont have a cuttlebug but I do have a Cricut Expressions and LOVE HIM!!! I would vote for the Cricut but I use it a ton for scrapbooking and different crafts. I dont use it much for rubber stamping projects though.

My idea is this -- do you have a friend that has a cuttlebug that you could swap stuff? Meaning she emboss stuff for you and you cut letters/die cuts out for her? That would help both of you out!

Good Luck to you ;)

I agree with 9kids... Get the cuttlebug and use now, then add to your cricut cart collection later when you know what you'll use more!

I have them both, and I mostly use the cuttlebug for embossing... I do love that you can die cut and emboss with the cuttlebug, BUT... die cuts with that are one size... no altering, no shadowing, etc! i always use my cricut for cutting and my cuttlebug for embossing!

hth!

I have them both too. However, I only use my cuttlebug for embossing and my cricut for cutting. I like the cricut images so much better, the layering, multiple cutting, shadowing, and different sizes and more. There are many places where the cartridges are on sale (plus, some on sale Thanksgiving and maybe day after too) and maybe you can use a coupon on the cuttlebug and GET BOTH! Also, I think it depends on what you are wanting the cuttlebug or cartridge for, cards, scrapbooking, kids' projects (which we use the cricut for soooo much). I probably didn't help AT ALLL, sorry. I hate having to choose! I want it ALL!
