It cuts, embosses and more plus costs over $1000

A friend of a friend has a machine that does all this stuff but she paid over $1000 for it and is going to a class to learn how to use it. My friend couldn't remember what it was but I am dying to know what it is since it is so expensive. I hope it turns paper into gold....anyone have any idea what I'm talking about????

KNK is my guess too. So much potential, and still mine sits unused because of the massive learning curve associated with the software. Your friend is very smart to take a class. Wish I had :rolleyes:

I agree it has to be the KNK. That's the only one that I know of that would cost that kind of dough. I really want one but can't afford it. I suppose I should start saving my pennies.

Larger cutting bed (XL is 15" across) so you can cut true 12" + wide and unlimited in length.

More pressure so you can cut thicker stuff like chipboard.

Nice (although complicated) software. No need for cartridges; can cut anything that you can vectorized on your computer.

These are the things that swayed me to buy it (it was a gift, actually). However, I also have a Cricut Expression because it's so easy to use. I think of it like a point and shoot camera and a DSLR. Both have their uses. ;)

I can't imagine buying anything that costs that much and not remembering the name!!!! Hope she loves it.

I had one and had to sell it. I just didn't have the time it took to learn everything. Mine came with problems and they walked me through things but it was just frustrating from beginning to end. It had to go. Now I love my little slice! lol

Wow! That is quite an investment for a hobby-ist like myself! I guess if you are starting out and have not "collected" a lot of other products, maybe you would benefit?
