Default Cupcake Wrapper Die--SU! or Cricut cartridge

Okay, I don't think it is called that exactly---but does anyone own one? How easy is it to assemble them? Can I just use regular designer paper or cardstock? I'm wanting to do something with about 200 cupcakes but don't like the plain cupcake wrappers---not very pretty at all. Could I make these without wanting to rip all my hair out? Other question is---can you use this die in either the Wizard or Cuttlebug? I have both but not a Big Kick.

Or is this there a Cricut cartridge and I could borrow a friends Cricut possibly if I buy her the Cartridge and would that be a better idea. I have seen where I can purchase the wrappers but they are expensive.

Quikutz had a cupcake-cover die that was in the stores in December as a special -- Archiver's had it for $7.99 and so did a local scrap store. You might check around and see if any place still had them. They are the thin die style like Sizzlets (only this die was long to accomodate the entire cupcake cover).

Hope you are able to find what you are looking for!

I have several different designs on my Shilhouette. If you know someone with one you could download them for $1.99, they did have a half price sale but I don't know if it's still on.

Why not use a large scallop circle and fold to the size you need? Could be secured with ribbon.

i just got this one in the mail on monday....LOVE it sooo quick and easy...and yes, it runs through my cuttlebug just fine. its just cut and tuck in the lil tab into the slot...... cut tuck and done, that simple and fun!

just use only "B" plates, you'll need 2 on the bottom and 2 on top to make up the length if you dont own extener pads(its what i do)

there is no bottom to it, but it isnt needed it, just put a cupcake paper in it and secure with glue dots, and its fine. i'm using it to make table favors, placing a ccake paper in, add some easter grass and some jelllybeans, instead of ccakes!

If your friend who has the cricut, has the SCAL program (sure cuts a lot) there is a tutorial from Penny Duncan to design and cut....she shares the SVG file and has a video on tweaking it to fit whatever design you many need. (Scroll half way down page to cupcake template and video. http://www.pennyduncancreations.com/PDC%20Tutorials.htm

I was going to suggest the Cricut with SCAL or MTC. Some of the girl's and guys have released the most beautiful cupcake wrappers. Cricut cartridges that have a cupcake wrapper are DC Comics- Superman. I swear there is another one but it's not coming to me. DS is showing me nothing except Superman.

Bless your soul for doing 200 cupcakes. You have my awe, lol.

Patti- I love your idea. That would be so pretty.

The Sweet Treats cartridge for Cricut has a cupcake holder function.
